My experience with this restaurant was not that good. I was excited because of a review a guy made on social media. And I thought the food was going to be really good. But as you know you have to try things yourself and everyone doesn’t have the same taste buds. My husband and I got there early around 11 something and it was only 2 people working so it was a little bit of a wait which I didn’t mind that. The owner was very nice he acknowledged us as we were walking in and even apologized for the wait. That was cool but that food wasn’t on point even a little bit. We purchased 3 rib tip dinners It came with 2 sides for $19.00 a total of $63.04. The rib tips were burnt and tasted like lighter fluid. My husband ask him if the potato salad was homemade he said yes. Not hardly that was store bought and it made my tongue burn. I don’t know if he tried to add something to it or not. I also heard him say that the baked beans and spaghetti was smoked on the grill. The baked beans came straight from the can with big chunks of onions, celery and green onions added with a hint of sugar. No smoke no where in it. I threw mines away. The rib tips reminded me of a neck bone it was exactly a bone no meat and over cooked. First time and last time. That was my experience I hope you read this and maybe take some notes to move forward to give customers good quality...
Read moreA Touch of Texas BBQ is the real deal — pure smoky perfection from start to finish. The smoked chicken wings were absolute perfection. The seasoning was charred just right, the meat was cooked thoroughly, and that smoky flavor lingered beautifully with every bite.
Then came the ribs — and let’s be clear, these weren’t regular ribs. They looked like dinosaur ribs — huge, impressive, and downright mouthwatering. Despite their size, they were tender and flavorful, falling right off the bone. The sauce tied everything together — a perfect blend with just a hint of sweetness that complemented the smoky flavor perfectly.
The smoked spaghetti was another standout — filled with large-cut vegetables that gave it a hearty, rustic feel. Personally, I would’ve liked the veggies cut a bit finer for texture balance, but the smoky taste mixed into the spaghetti made it absolutely top-tier.
And while waiting for my order, I believe the owner was playing old-school R&B cuts, which made the experience even better. The vibe was smooth, the music was right, and I was thoroughly enjoying myself before the food even hit the table.
Final Verdict: A Touch of Texas BBQ delivers bold flavor, Texas-sized portions, and a smoky kick that’ll have you coming back for more — and the vibes alone make it...

My 7th time visiting this restaurant but a 3rd time’s is a charm right? Nope! I say a third time because of all the times I’ve attempted, they weren’t open or opened on time despite saying open. Today I decided to visit a restaurant directly across the street when arriving, I noticed that this bbq place was opened. I walked in, read the menu and approached the counter only to be told “I’m not serving you” 2 times by the owner. Not sure why, I didn’t question it cause I’m not forcing anyone to take my hard earned money.
Reason, the first time I visited this establishment, I spent just over $40 to support the business to get home and realize I didn’t get everything I paid for. I posted a review simply based of not receiving all my paid for items. Didn’t bash the food not once. 2nd time I went the owner recognized me and said “give me some grace” which I was by returning and spending my money again. I’m a rib tip guy so I purchased rip tips again and a polish. The tips were dry and rough but the polish was good. Didn’t bash again.
After a Instagram/Tiktok food reviewer viewed this restaurant on his platform, I said “I want that experience” and tried to get it today only to be not served based off me not changing my first review. Bad for business and...
