So, JJ Twig's isn't your average ordinary bar/pizza joint. Been here a few times, live near by, and always enjoyed the pizza. The also have Hank's Cheesecake!!! I am a GF person so that play in any meal decision I make. Thos GF crust is very well done. Not the typical potato starch and rice flour, but a nice thin crust that closely mimics a regular St. Louis style thin crust. One of the thinest GF crusts I've had and probably the most enjoyable. But overshadowing the crust were the toppings. Fresh flavors, and not over done. The sauce isn't overpowering but tasty... The cheese, that stringy mozzarella that were used to get when we were kids. Yep, same stuff that you now have to search for. Then they also use feta to add another level of flavor and a lil different texture in the mix. Alltogether, a great mix of toppings, good consistency, well covered crust that makes this boy very happy. Now, desert. Hank's cheesecake is a local favorite, from the Richmond Heights area. Just the right top off for a fantastic meal. Anyonr interested in White Chocolate Raspberry? Yep, its...

My in-laws live literally 4 houses down from JJ's and Ari's so we end up at both places quite a bit. They're both great but I never thought anything would dethrone Greek food as my go to but JJ's has definitely taken over for me as my #1 when my wife's mom and dad take us out. The pizza (both the thin and the double decker) is incredible, the salads are huge and fresh, and all of the apps (save the corndogs bc we haven't tried them yet) are ridiculously good- especially the wings which only get better with the homemade dressings. Have always had good experiences with the wait staff- always really friendly and prompt. Seriously- go to JJ twig's and order anything- it's affordable, and you'll be good to go. And you'll probably have leftovers...

Pizza is great but both times I've been/ordered there have been major service issues. In person our waitress was extremely unattentive and we sat with empty drinks for several minutes more than once. The next time I ordered online and the store never "completed" the order online from their end so nobody went to pick it up. I drove myself and received cold food (though the bartender did try to warm it in the oven for a couple minutes, it was still cold). Upon arriving home I got a call from the online delivery service saying they had gone to pick up my food and were told I picked it up. Extremely frustrating considering the quality of the pizza. Hope they can iron...

A couple of months ago, I had some out of town visitors, and I wanted to treat them to something typically St Louis. I planned to take them to Imo's, but Imo didn't have any gluten free options so we wound up at JJ Twig's just down the street instead. A great choice. Yesterday I wanted to treat myself to an early Father's Day, so I ordered a Double Decker Meat Me In St Louis, a carnivore's dream. The only thing it doesn't have is some Gioia's Hot Salami (but you can get that on a different pizza). Order ahead - artisanal quality takes time.

This is a great little restaurant. The food is always pretty good and the service is satisfactory. I recommend trying the fried pickles. I get them every time welcome here. They also support the local schools. I have not tried the pizza but the kids did and they really enjoyed it. When stumped for a place to eat in South City. Give it a try.
