Visited the concept Rockwell's Biergaten in Francis Park today to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary to just get a drink to toast our time together and walk a little around the park. We celebrated big at 1111 Mississippi Restaurant. Today was a pleasant day and we celebrated with a couple of neighbors that also popped in for a drink. We love this adventure in Francis Park. I am so glad the nay sayers were proven wrong. I can see this as a model for other Parks. Hey Tower Grove are you listening?. Perfect.

Amazing park, has a beautiful small lotus pond. Has squash / handball courts (I think). A few tennis and a few pickleball courts, these two which are right next to the beer garden that has amazing pizza and coffee. Closed down for the winter but such a cool spot during the summer. It has a nice big playground for kids as well and ample distance to walk. Such a nice neighborhood around. They also have great events probably a couple times a month. I think it’s my favorite park in St. Louis.

Great park! Lots of street parking. There are always a ton of families and dogs here. The beer garden is located near the pickleball and tennis courts. I believe there are 6 pickleball courts and like 8 tennis courts; would love for them to add lights to the courts so we could play later. There are bathrooms on the back side of the beer garden. It looks like there is a very nice children's play area, however, I don't have any children so I have not investigated any further.

Francis Park is a amazing little park that I've seen change over the years. Great for picnic's or if you want to sit against a tree to enjoy a book or just enjoy the nature around you. Has many different open area's for activities, tennis courts, racket ball, great playground if you have kids.

Seen several groups doing either workouts or yoga. Walk around or through the park and down by the pond. The small coffee shop down by the tennis courts is cute and I hear it's good.

Has great events like Grub & Groove, Art in the Park and the summer concerts. Occasionally there will be a family movie night at the park. The lighting of the tree around Christmas time is a wonderful thing to take in with family and friends.

All and all; I definitely recommend Francis Park for a great day to enjoy with family...

Best place to walk/run. Just a big square with nice scenery. I feel safe here as there's always a bunch of joggers and police drives by often so it's a place I feel you can excersise without fear of someone hurting you or committing a crime nearby, there are 4 churches one on each corner and that might add to the safety as there seems to always be someone there at each church not sure if they have daily classes or just janitorial services but seems like there's always people around walking and working on things, also great play place for kids along with tennis courts, baseball field, large grass area for soccer or football, racquet ball, and lots of other designated areas for other sports...

Clean park! They are constantly doing community projects to keep it lush, clean and decorated. Surrounding neighborhood is active and clean as well, so you can feel safer about parking here to go enjoy the grounds or any event they may be holding. Perfect uphill/ downhill distance around that sits at just over a mile makes it a great place to get in a walk, jog, run or simply walking your dog. Dog friendly as well with water bowls placed by drinking fountains on the north and south sides. In the summer months they fill the artsy man made pond which also boasts equally artsy benches on either side perfect for taking a break or snagging some...
