Pepper's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in St. Louis

The atmosphere here was pretty great. My wife and I went here on St. Patrick's day around 8:45 pm. We walked in through the front and sat at the table right in front of the window. I think they may have a restaurant are in the back but we didn't mind the noisey bar and planned on doing some drinking too. The server was really great and managed to keep checking in with us even though the bar was slammed at the time.

The food was good no doubt about that. We both got the spicy fried chicken sandwich with tater tots. I liked how they don't charge extra for tater tots. The sandwich while not the biggest chicken sandwich I've seen was perfectly crispy and the buffalo sauce wasn't overwhelming or messy. The tater tots were perfect! Alot of place under or over cook them but these were right on the money. My only complaint about the food was that there are other places with bigger chicken sandwiches at the same price. I was still a but hungry after eating it.

Onward to drinks! We didn't go crazy all we got was a bucket of beer ($15) and an Irish Carbomb each. So we were definitely feeling pretty good when we left. The server was totally cool with us going outside for a smoke without opening a tab and waved at us through the window when those Carbombs were ready.

So overall I would highly recommend this place. It's always seems very popular and if you live anywhere in the Bevo or South City area it's great for a bite to eat or a few drinks. I happen to live very close and it's nice having this place right there to walk home...

I was enjoying coming here for the wings, which are really good when they make them the way you want , I like there extra hot wings and ordered them 2x before and it seemed like them made them original hot so I requested they remake them and so they came back looking the same way and I just took them Tonight i ordered extra hot wings and they were not hot at all and looked like original hot again. So I tried to call back to speak with them about it which took 5 calls and no one was in the bar . Finally I get the bar tender on the phone (the blond chubby girl) and she argues with me that they are extra hot and hangs up the phone on me . So with a broke leg I drove back up there and asked for my money back , mind you I also tip the bar tender every night I go in there and she knows this because I've tipped her good ...so I come in and ask for my money back and she says no and argued with me that there correct AND BROUGHT UP THE LAST TIME THEY MESSED UP , AND I SAID I GOT MY WINGS FREE LAST TIME (which I never received a refund) THEN PROCEEDED TO SAY I THINK THIS IS A REOCCURRING THING (but yet I tip good evertime you see me , which I even looked at my friend in the bar and said "see how you get treated when you tip mfrs good" then she says "yes I haven't gotten any tips tonight tho lol"..so the kitchen manager comes out and confirms they are extra hot (which they was not) and said they didn't put enough sauce on them ,, so over this misunderstanding and a typical bar tender that dont know how to treat good patrons I'll...

If I had the ability to leave 0 stars I would. Me and my two other friends went there yesterday to get some food. My two other friends already ate there before but this would’ve been my first time. When we walked into the place all three of us went to the bathroom together as women do. We was in the bathroom for probably about five minutes before we started to hear loud banging on the door like they was trying to get in there. Mind you this was a one toilet bathroom. My one friend opened the door a little because our other friend was using the bathroom. It was a male and we was like its men’s bathroom right there thats open. We closed the door and then probably 10 seconds later we hear another person loudly, obnoxiously banging on the door. Now we’re upset because our friend is still using the bathroom. My friend opens the door and the man stated to us “are yall doing coke”. We said no and closed the door. Not even a second after that the bouncer is at the door stating tht we have been told to leave, when asked for the reason why, he wouldn’t give us a clear answer.
