This was our first time at Riverside Diner and I'm glad we tried somewhere new for breakfast. Its a nice small place nestled in an Industrial area with good character. Homey inside with friendly good service. Food was flavorful and presentation was on point. We tried the Veggie Omelet and the (BBB) Big Biscuit Breakfast. The Veggie Omelet was light & airy just as requested. Added jalapeños for a nice kick! Seasoned potatoes had a nice little crunch to them. Side order of crispy bacon was just that "Crispy" Mmm! The BBB had great flavor with a open face biscuit with sausage patties, eggs (to your liking) and smothered in sausage gravy. The sausage gravy had a great consistency with just enough black pepper to give it some spice. I thought about trying the pancakes but didn't. Then I saw a plate of them go pass our table and Holy Schnikey did they look good. (Next Time) Breakfast "All Day" & Lunch starts at "10:30". We will definitely be back again. I definitely recommend the Riverside Diner!!!

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would recommend I have to be honest, I was a bit sketchy with the location and wasn’t too attracted to walk in. Wait was a while but that’s something given on a Sunday after Church. We were sat promptly upon availability of a table and drinks were ordered and served accordingly. FIRST restaurant to give water with coffee WITHOUT me asking. GREAT JOB on that! Food ordered right after, SO GOOD JOB on the Opening Service. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, 2 scrambled eggs, with sourdough toast. Drinks were refilled WITHOUT having to ask! GOOD JOB again on attentiveness to your tables! Food was served promptly. Severs checked in within 2mins of food being dropped! And half way thru the meal! GREAT JOB with the steps of Service!

Cool old-fashioned greasy spoon in an area of South City you would never expect. In the transition zone between residential and river related industrial. Gives a vibe of a different place and time. Inside isn't much to write about, but does add to the vibe in it's historical accents and quaintness. I got the slinger and I will admit I have had better. It was fine, just wasn't made exceptionally well. Coffee was good and everyone else I was with seemed to enjoy themselves. Service was friendly. Parking is either on-street or in an old lot across the intersection. Not ideal if you are shepherding a few kids, but it also isn't a busy thoroughfare in the weekends.

Upon waking in the door our server seemed put off that my friend and I were here to eat. A cold scowl on her face. Did not tell us about any specials or even try to sell anything else to us. I asked for a 2 egg omelet and she said the cook could try to make one but I will still be charged for a 3 egg omelet meal. If she would have not been so cold, rude, and in unwelcoming I could have told her that is all I was having.... did not want a meal just the 2 egg omelet. We usually go to Dave's Diner but thought we would try something different. Picking this establishment was absolutely a wrong decision!! The half order of biscuits and gravy (we both ordered) was mediocre at best. And the service provided was awful! I have 30+ years in the food service industry and this was the worst I've seen. Not exactly sure who was in charge because no one but the server even approached us. Not once were we asked how our food was? Or if we needed anything else? No drink refills offered. I do not recommend this place at all. Would have provided our server's name but asked 2x and I was ignored both times. No name on the receipt either! All I can say is she was the younger of the 2 and by far the most incompetent! *DO...

I happen to go here because of word of mouth I heard it was good food We waited 15 minutes to be seated which was acceptable then we waited another 45 minutes to get our food which was not acceptable During our wait to get our food I noticed other people with more expedited service and I started to wonder why it was taking so long until I noticed a to-go order for 10 go out When our food was brought to us my wife's food was brought cold mine was bought overcooked and cold During the time I sat and wait unfortunately for them they left the doors open to the food prep area and the back where I witnessed the toast from my plate fall to the table as another plate was being prepped that same piece of toast put back up in the window on the plate And for its entirety the meal cost us $31 not including tip now the idea of cold food and overcooked food. Periodically can be expected but for poor handling there is no excuse it's called cross-contamination especially when the customer witnesses it will never go there again would not recommend because of...
