Subway — Restaurant in St. Louis

All I can say is wow! This past Sunday evening (8/12/2018), my husband took me to the South Grand & Shenandoah Subway location to order something fresh and light since I’m on a weight management journey. Though both ladies were in the midst of assisting customers, they still made it a point to simultaneously acknowledge that I had entered their establishment by greeting me with, “Welcome to Subway & We’ll be with you in a moment”. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Rotisserie Chicken Caesar wrap. This is where things got pleasantly interesting… As I ordered my wrap of choice, Jamie perked up and said to me “You came in here on the right day because I got you!” I replied by saying, “Ok, I’m glad you do because I have never had a wrap and I’m going both your suggestions and patience in this process.” From there my wrap experience felt so personal that I almost forgot that I was in Subway and not at a friend’s house. Long story short, Jamie took ownership of the situation by asking me questions to see what I like and then made the appropriate suggestions. In the final stage of “wrapping” up everything I felt quite satisfied and pleased with my experience and couldn’t wait to make it home to indulge in the artistry that Jamie had put together for me. Needless to say, I didn’t make it home or off the lot before my temptation got the best of me. I just had to know how my wrapped tasted before leaving, and oh my goodness it was delicious! My husband even asked for a bite, and expressed much of the same sentiments.

I started this review with “All I can say is wow” because in my experiences, customer focused service by individuals that have sincere smiles and the willingness to assist customers with a gleeful demeanor has become a nearly extinct commodity in today’s society and culture. Jamie’s dedication and disposition to her craft and the customers she serves deserves to be praised. So Again, thank you Jamie for your patience, kindness, knowledge, and last but not least your big bold personality that reminded me of past visits to the Fudgery back when it was located in the Saint Louis Union Station. Worst subway experience ever on grand and 44. They were nice at first until I dared to ask for more olives on my sandwich. The employee Kayla said, “we don’t do that here”. Afterwards she went to check me out and overcharged the bill so I said it’s incorrect and she wanted to argue about it. Kayla is a very rude person and should go work somewhere that she does not have to speak with people. My girlfriend ordered a tuna sandwich. At first Kayla said they were out of tuna and was not going to prep any extra. The other employee made it. After the previous situations. They proceeded to make the tuna sandwich very poorly and sloppily. I said please make it professionally or I want a refund. They refused to give me a refund and said, “we don’t do that here”. So I took out my phone and recorded her making the sandwich to make sure that it was done correctly they went in the back and called their manager and then threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave. Since they were refusing to give me a refund I just waited till they made the sandwich professionally and we left.. unbelievable. They have took hours off my check by like 13 hours n the accused me of stilling that 8 hours I worked I didn't even get a brake I can recall a few time I worked two months straight with only two days off in a month in 2 months I only had 4 days off as well as I had a better job two weeks ago Iit was supposed to b my last day n instead I asked montie the owner if he would like for me to stay but I needed a riase so of course he gave it to me but then took 13 hours off my check n they think I don't know they been doing this for a hot minute as well as I told them I was haveing some probs n I'm in the middle of getting dicnosed n they of course fired me so all I no is they used me n fusliy accuosac me of stilling hahaha show me on them cams what's really funny is after he looked the 1st time on video I was provin inacent and then got transferred cuz the woman that worked there used rags for a week n mop head was masty n then hahaha had a new girl working off clock cuz they could'co get paperwork done n I mean he threw a fit if she clocked in n after 930 pm u bezt b of the clock or she's taking that...
