Riverwalk Pizzeria — Restaurant in St. Marys

my husband and i dined in last night; let me start off with the food was great, our service was phenomenal, the drinks were perfect.

we got a large white cheese pizza to split and we ended up having pizza to take home. the pizza itself was absolutely DELICIOUS. you don’t usually see ricotta on white pizzas so it was a new experience to try. i ordered a pineapple punch which was dangerously good, too many and you won’t be able to drive; husband ordered a draft yuengling (nothing special). to finish off we ordered some tiramisu, very good. our server was prompt and overall made the experience something to write home about.

now i am RAVING about everything except one menu item; the muffuletta “hoagie”. as a new orleans native, i’ve had my fair share of muffulettas and i know it is supposed to be served on MUFFULETTA bread not a hoagie bun.

overall, i would definitely recommend riverwalk to friends and family. also would 100% eat there...

Run, don’t walk to this establishment!!! Upon entering we were greeted with a smile by our lovely server named Shannon. She was friendly, accommodating and attentive. The house wine, Pinot Grigio, was crisp and delicious! The price was very surprising and extremely affordable. I ordered the Margarita Pizza. Now, I’m a Native New Yorker and I KNOW good pizza. This pizza was ALL about deliciousness! I don’t know where to begin but THAT crust, Marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella, blew me away! I couldn’t believe it wasn’t a New York pizza! I had the distinguished pleasure of making the acquaintance of the owner Chris. What a gentleman! I can’t wait to return and taste more of his fabulous food! As much as I like the pizza, the service is lackluster. This is my 3rd time going. Everytime I go I hope for better service, to wait even longer to be served. Then even longer to get my food (1 hour plus). Servers will come by and tell you somebody will be with you in a moment, to no avail. I do think they have some kinks to work out in regards to service speed and food delivery speed. I decided to ask a server about the reason and he advised me they had so many to go orders they cant keep up with in-house orders and the wait is 45 minutes for pizza.
