Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in St. Michael

I used to work here a long time ago before the rebuild, so coming from a former employee I am constantly let down by this location.

The wait times are long sometimes, but as someone who has previously worked in fast food I get it and I always go expecting a wait.

What I do care about is how things are made. More often than not I will get a blizzard that is hardly mixed, large sundae's that have the same amount of ice cream as a small, or will be massively overcharged for additional toppings which I don't get an obscene amount of (once paid over $10 dollars for one blizzard only to have all the toppings poorly mixed into the middle of the blizzard, with none of the topping being mixed to the top or bottom as they did the trick of putting the toppings in the center before mixing). For awhile it was rare enough that I figured it was just an off day, but I am not joking when I say that this happens nearly 100% of my visits, I can't remember the last time I went and I got something that was mixed correctly and/or I wasn't overcharged.

The food is still good - if you don't mind a wait I've never had an issue with how the food is prepared. But when it comes to the ice cream there's always some sort of issue.

Staff aren't horrible either, I've had some who are really amazing and some who are fairly standard...

When the new building was opened the food and service was phenomenal. In the last year it the service has declined drastically. Today 7/1 was the absolute worst. I had to repeat my order 4 times because the person over the drive through mic kept getting it wrong. It sounded like they weren't paying attention at all. My order has 3 items on it super simple, a #2 combo and chilli dog with pretzels (the two for $4 combo). She read the total and it was more expensive than I anticipated. When I got up to the pay window I asked them to reread my order which was correct. While waiting for our food they came up to us with 2 other people's orders, the food runner looked confused and was aimlessly walking around the parking. When we finally got our food, it was not what I order or what they read at the window. I ended up getting two chilli dogs with a side of pretzels (which was an additional charge ergo the higher total). Plus the burger was completely destroyed when we pulled it out of the bag. I have alot of patience for mistakes but this is ridiculous, 4 times in a row my order has been incorrect in someway. Sorry to say but this place is consistently terrible, I wish the quality and service was how it was when...

This place has gotten awful since they rebuilt it. They are extremely slow. Almost always get order wrong and argue about what you order. Yesterday will be our last attempt with this location. The bald middle age guy, who I think is a manager, is a Dickevery time. Yesterday tried ordering 2 cheeseburgers, didn’t want fries or a drink, he couldn’t comprehend it. He kept saying it was the #9 and comes with fries and a drink. Went back and forth 4 times before finally got just the burgers. Then tried to get chicken strips. Again only want the chicken. I asked for 6 he said that’s the basket with fries. So I asked what sizes do they come in in just the strips. He said anything thing I wanted 1 or a truck load. So I asked for 6 he said that comes in a basket with fries. I said no I want just 6 chicken strips no basket. He then said well I can give you 12. I said I only want 6 and he said but 12 is a better deal cheaper per strip. I said again only wanted 6 and he said we can do 12. I gave up and drove away.

Wife still wanted a blizzard and burger so went to the rogers location. Rogers location is much better, nicer staff, smoother transitions, and...
