Wasn’t expecting it to be as good as the reviews, but didn’t expect it to be so much worse either. Customer service is a 0! Aside from the food most of the staff were very rude, it seemed they were annoyed of us being there. Mind you we were very polite the whole time we were there. It took 30 minutes for me to get my sushi.
I ordered Sashimi (4 out of 5), an Amazing Roll (4 out of 5), miso soup (1 out of 5), hibachi steak(2.5 out of 5) and rice (negative infinity)
As soon as I took a bite out of the rice it tasted and felt like pure salt. I was confused as to why they sprinkled salt on top...of the rice... But after taking a sip of water I tried again and literally the whole bowl of rice was pure salt. I’m not sure HOW anyone did not NOTICE how much salt there was or if it was on purpose it really had to have been because that was way too much salt to be tasting like that. Definitely ruined my appetite.
I let the waitress know that the rice was really salty (the young lady who took us to our table). She went and told the other staff and they were all giggling, talking about us and saying how it wasn’t even salty. All the waitresses who walked by didn’t take the rice back, even the waitress who took some plates off of our table. She left the rice there...as if I was still eating it though it was on the side of the table for her to take... They didn’t take the time to ask if I wanted another one or not. They thought I wanted a new one so that’s what they did, made a new one. I didn’t want to eat the rice afraid it was going to be the same.
I didn’t finish all of my food mostly because I lost my appetite from the rice. It was that bad.
I was charged the 30% for not finishing my food which I didn’t think was ok because they had to remake the rice. I’ve never had anyone remake my fried rice at a restaurant before. It was a quick fix, but the customer service...
Read moreFirst off, the food is good and love going because of it. However, I’ve been here multiple times, and have yet to have a good experience when it comes to the servers and the overall service quality. Unfortunately I have a few friends who have the same experiences on different and separate occasions. Recently, I went for the all you can eat, and was really anxious for their hibachi steak. I noticed that it was fairly busy when I got there, so we expected a little less than great service and were more than willing to be patient with our server. But when they brought out the steak and fries, they were both pretty cold. So cold I had them send the steak back, and as I waited I went to order more food for the all you can eat. We waited patiently for our server to check on us for more food, had the sheet ready and all, but no dice. We had to stop our server for attention, which is not the end of the world by any means, but I had to remind her numerous times about my steak before I finally got it. About a half hour later, when I got it, I was pretty much full from eating my first course because we waited so long. On the last note, they ran out of soy sauce at the table, so we placed it at the end of our table so they could take it and refill it for us to use. The first time we stopped our server, she intentionally reached around the empty soy to grab a dish, and continued to the kitchen. So we had to remark that we needed soy, and did not get a new one until close to the end of our dining experience.
On that note, the servers are awkward and not very helpful, but the food is great. I will eventually return, but have low expectations of the servers and keep this experience in mind...
Read moreI used to order take out here pretty often, but after our first dine-in experience I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Our whole table got all you can eat, including for our kids/toddlers who are light eaters. We didn’t go all out, and ordered only once with one plate option per kid and then soup and a few sushi rolls to share among the adults. The sushi came out flavorless and did not taste good, so we didn’t want to finish it but we also didn’t want to be rude and complain. When asking for our bill the server told us we’d be charged $18 additional “food waste” if we didn’t sit there and eat everything on the plates. We felt so unbelievably uncomfortable. We tried forcing our food down, then eventually said to hell with it because we were starting to feel sick and the sushi was awful. She eventually told us she wouldn’t up charge us, but I couldn’t believe this is the way they want to make their paying customers feel - especially when we spent a little over $120 total for our bill of all you can eat and didn’t even order extravagantly! With these kinds of business practices, they’ll be making a lot of customers really unhappy. Never forget your customers are what keep you in business and...
