Let's do it. The service was phenomenal. The spot is cute and has a nice vibe. I ordered a soup and a salad the soup was Lobster Chowder it had a great base creamy lots of potatoes seasoned well I think it might have had noodles in it but I didn't taste one piece of lobster and I ate the whole thing. If it's called lobster, I should see it on my spoon, not every spoon but some off them. Great soup, no Lobster. I ordered a Roasted Red Pepper Salad with fresh Mozzarella and Prosciutto. I didn't eat it. If your gonna charge 10.00 for small salad I want the stars of the Salad in abundance it was a little bit of roasted peppers a sprinkle of mozzarella and mad tomatoes and cucumbers no...I wanted plenty of fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers I should have just customized the salad and ordered Lettuce extra mozzarella roasted peppers with red onion and olive oil. It was a nice place. I would definitely go back for the soup and the service. And the homemade croutons they gave me...
Read morePlenty of options. The vegan butternut squash and ginger soup was so heartwarming and I'm really glad their chicken and tuna salads are made fresh and just use mayo, herbs, relish, etc instead of adding yogurt or sour cream since I'm allergic to dairy. It was actually very easy for me to eat something clean and filling because I got a half soup/half "sandwich" and just had my chicken salad as a salad with romaine, tomatoes, and freshly shredded carrots. They have a great assortment of pre-packaged juices, teas, and chips too, so if I'd had room, I'd have eaten the chicken salad with a bag of avocado oil Kettle chips because nobody has those, ever. The staff is also the absolute friendliest. A+ all around.
Only thing I would change would be better non-dairy milk and creamer brands (like barista blends from Elmhurst, Califia Farms, Oatly, or Pacific Foods) because they only have Silk, but that is really my only suggestion. Their coffee was just fine black with a touch of...
Read moreBad Service, Unfair to My Husband**
The server, an older white lady, I forgot her name but it was the oldest server lady there, was not nice to my husband, who is a dark brown skinned man. She asked me and our son how our food was but didn't ask my husband and right after she asked me, she passes him slowly looking at him up and down without asking him “how was his food” and She looked at him in a mean way.
Everytime she called him sir she would emphasize it in such a rude way, like if she was bothered by his existence.
Also, they didn't give my husband enough food. He got only one slice of ham in his sandwich, but mine and our son's had a lot. It seemed unfair and not right.
Other white people that came in would just stare at my husband strangely. The environment wasn’t welcoming at all.
I'm writing this to let others, especially people of color, know what happened. This should not happen at a restaurant. I hope they fix this problem so everyone is...
