If you're looking for some great quality tacos for a great price then this is your place. I've had their burritos too and they're just as amazing. The employees here show great customer service. They'll bring you your food when it's ready. They'll greet you and say their good byes with a smile. They have music playing in the background and the guys are singing while they're cooking. It's such a great vibe to be in. Their salsas are always looked after and well kept. My favorite item to grab for my tacos are the onions with habanero peppers, I don't ever see that anywhere else, but at my inlaws on special occasions. Two things I could say is that they should fix up their bathroom, I've only been in there once and their bathroom seat seemed broken and it was a bit dark which was not what I expected as everything outside seemed so bright and alive. Their drive thru doesn't have a speaker system so I had to drive up to the window and attempted to shout a bit for someone and finally decided to give a honk to alert someone that I was at the window. Other than that I have no complaints. The restaurant is clean, food is great, people are awesome and it's in a nice area. I go here often and I've been to a lot of taquerias here in orange county, but I feel so far this is one of my favorite places to eat tacos at. I'm sure all the other listed meals are great I just haven't explored so much yet! I was just here a few hours ago and I can't...
Read moreMy BFF and I were meeting for lunch but I needed to be somewhere else close by. We found Tacos Puro Jalisco 2 online, on the corner of Cerritos and Western. I can only rate the tortas we had but they were pretty filling and tasty. Menu price was $8.75 with 5 standard meat choices. I had al pastor and bestie had asada. We only finished half because they were pretty good size. You'd have to be fairly hungry to finish the whole torta. They're served with ample sides of red and green chile, radish and peppers. She had horchata and I had Jamaica of course 😉.
The place itself used to be a different Mexican food place and before that a burger joint several years ago. It is not fancy by any means and the tables and benches are worn as well. It is a familiar neighborhood eatery slightly bigger than a hole-in-the-wall with enough parking for a minor lunch rush. But we didn't go for the atmosphere and were pretty satisfied with the very friendly service by the cook who also cashiered us.
We were so busy catching up that I forgot to take pics of my torta and the surroundings. But if you want good food at more than affordable prices head over to Tacos Puro Jalisco 2. I don't...
Read moreFound this place online, wanted to come and try the al pastor tacos, my favs, as they have it on the "trompo". Unfortunately i came after 9pm and they didn't have them along with tripa.
I had cabeza, lengua, asada and buche.
Cabeza and lengua were underseasoned but were good tacos. Asada was seasoned just right, with only Salt. Good amount of fat to them. But by far the best i had tonight were the Buche, they put it on the flat top as soon as you order, so it gets a good char for some texture and great flavor. I had to get a couple more to satisfy my tripa ☺.
They have a salad bar. Green sauce, red with a hint of chipotle but they arent spicy. Pickled carrots. All these were good, only thing was that the onions and cilantro had been out there for a while.
The taquero was the most friendly, props to him.
Bathroom needs more attention, good thing i only had to do #1!.
Haha music actually good!
Overall. I would come to try the al pastor and tripa, oh and also a Buche Burrito, but only if im nearby.
Cheers to my fellow...
