Trail’s End Tavern — Restaurant in Stanton

After spending all day hiking and going to our airbnb to freshen up all we wanted was a drink. Saw the reviews and headed down to have a great evening. This ended up being more of a nightmare. I was standing patiently waiting my turn to order while my wife sat on the deck area at a high table. I was up next after waiting a few minutes there was a couple that came in after I did and for some odd reason Dan thought it was ok to bypass me point thru me to them and ask what they wanted and completely belittled me in front of the whole bar. It was not busy so a crowd was not a factor. I felt like I was nothing at that point. I am not one to pull a race card but I will tell you I definitely stood out there being Hispanic. I gave him my order finally after he finished theirs and then he proceeded to help someone else in cashing them out and again I was left to wait. He then came back and said what did u want again at this point I told him forget it and I called my wife in that's white, so we could leave. Was just there and let me tell you if you are not Caucasian and wanting a drink stay away. The bar tender Dan made sure I knew I wasnt welcomed but the people behind me that got there after me they were definitely welcomed and belonged there due to there race. You couldn't make it anymore clear when they are standing behind you and you get pointed thru to give them top tier service. This such a horrible thing but hey racism is still very much around. I deal with doctors,lawyers and buisness owners and I would never do this or tolerate it from my employees. While we were sightseeing in the area on Friday, May 9 2025, we thought we found the cutest tiny restaurant, complete with one of our favorite games (Connect 4) attached to the wall.
