Love it here! Such a great vibe and very friendly staff. There's a cute little reading nook area as well as the same for small children with games and books. The decor is modern and hip, but full of southern charm with local art, chalkboard menu signs, Mason jar glasses in a bright open space! The spotlight though, the food! The ingredients are colorful and fresh and the flavor is all there! What's best? The menu has something for everyone from a Classic Breakfast affordable for everyone's wallet to signature bowls and omelettes that are both delicious and still a great price! Pictured below, my fiance and I shared the Green Monster bowl (avocado, eggs, spinach, mushroom, onion and feta) which I paired with the softest, freshest, most buttery croissant! We also shared the Bradford Breakfast (half order B & G, eggs, and choice of side) because I absolutely had to try the biscuits and gravy, and I was not disappointed. We completed our meals by adding a side of their house-made hot sauce. The peppers are picked fresh by the chef from home and made into a spicy, tangy, hot sauce with a citrusy hint. Not for the faint of heart, but those willing to add the kick will be in for a treat! This will now be my go-to spot in Starke for Breakfast and Lunch and I will definitely be bringing my out of town friends here as well!

I have been to Call Street Cafe twice: once for brunch on Sunday and once for late lunch on a weekday. Brunch was busy on Sunday and I was the only guest in the cafe when I first walked in today. The eggs benedict was delicious and traditionally made (when ordered in a small down they typically throw some gravy on top instead of hollandaise - not here though!). Today I got a steak jerk bowl (can’t remember the official name for it, but is served over rice). It was healthy and refreshing. The Elvis smoothie is wonderful as well. The staff was very friendly both visits. WiFi works great. I started a punch card. They don’t have normal Coke or Pepsi, but what artisan option they do have tastes great. I’m not from the area but am here for awhile visiting. I was surprised to find such an awesome place with both super healthy and locally sourced ingredient options. They offer a black bean burger if you are veg. Starke in general took me by surprise.

Call Street Cafe is probably one of the few great places to eat in the area. It's nestled downtown near the movie theater. It looks small from the outside but it's larger once you get inside. It's a cute little cafe that serves great food and also sells some baked goods. Service has always been great and it's very clean. The food prices are on the high end but worth it for the quality. They even serve your beverages in mason jars. My only complaint is that they upcharge for breakfast after 12:00 pm which doesn't seem fair since they close at 3:00 pm and their prices are a little higher to begin with. A lot of cafes serve breakfast all day long at no additional charge and make up for it by charging a little extra for their menu items. But Call Street Cafe seems to do both. Given that they have good food and there aren't many restaurants in the area like them, it seems to be working for them though because people keep coming back! Including me :)

Great Place For Breakfast

They serve locally sourced coffee, as well as a brand of soda I have never heard of. So, something new to try! You will not find coke or Pepsi products here. If you like traditional sweet tea from a Ball jar, you are in the right place.

I had the steak and eggs. Reasonably priced for a quality steak that was cooked to order. My eggs were a little undercooked for over medium, but they were still fantastic. Grits were unbleached and I didn't have to add a single thing. Fruit looked a little dry, but still very attractive and flavorful. Wheat toast came with whipped butter spread.

My fiance ordered the shrimp and grits swamp bowl. There were very literally only three pieces of medium sized shrimp in the entire bowl (making it feel more like the bare minimum was met to even call it shrimp and grits) but the taste was fantastic. It also came with toast, mixed in peppers and mushrooms, and about as many peices or sausage as their was shrimp. Despite it, he still wants to go back.

The feel is very southern and homey with a hint of hipster. There are beautiful fresh flowers on every table accompanied with a nice tall salt and pepper shaker. Tables are spaced far apart. The chalkboard menu on the back wall behind the counter is all hand written in different types of font. They decor says southern, but the gouda cheese, various types of green tea, vegan and gluten free options, and off-brand soda fountain say something else. You can easily picture the place as a good place for breakfast with family, friends,...

The sweet bell stuffed pepper soup is amazing.. The maple bourbon bacon sandwich was great as well. I ate so much soup the sandwich had to travel...

Service was outstanding. Not pushy but informed and bright smiles. Quick to help but not intrusive..

Reason for the 4 stars??

The baked good.. Got a great deal 5 pastries for price of 4 ( i can't truly remember but i got a deal )..

The strawberry key lime was nice but honestly I probably would buy again.

The cinnamon apple (???) scone was good. It was just out of the oven and I stored for 2 days and it was a very nice breakfast..

But that where it stopped.. I purchased another 2 muffins and cupcake. I honestly could not eat them.. Maybe because I am from another state I am not use to a local flair.. I found theses 3 items tasteless .. Well that not true.. to me all I could taste was flour.. Plz take my review of theses item as the perspective out of a outer towner..

But I do visit my friend in this lovely town.. And I will be back to eat the wonderful meals.. I'll just...
