StaggerIn Sports Grill — Restaurant in Starkville

I have eaten here twice: the first was ok, but the second time I couldn’t finish my food. My main complaints are not of the food though. StaggerIn is located on campus property which has a no smoking policy, but they do not enforce it. There is also usually a mix of cigarette butts, broken glass, spilled food/drinks, trash, and sometimes even vomit outside/in close proximity to the entrance. On many occasions I have also heard older men cat call college girls walking into the apartments. Overall this is not an environment for most people. Even the menu items are not family friendly (such as the “Topless hot chick” sandwich). If you do come, be aware of (current) parking options as they frequently change and tow trucks are active. There is a small amount of designated parking and signs are typically posted on the door.

In response to owner: I do not think it takes a sense of humor to understand your menu item referring to a naked girl, I think it takes immaturity. Next, I do not have any cat calling on video because I do not walk around with my camera out? I am referring to three girls I know personally and around 5 more that came forward in a resident group message. Lastly College View apartments is not responsible for picking up all the trash that comes from stagger in. The majority of the trash has your logo on it, and college view is not the ones selling beer from the glass bottles...

We've been trying to get to StaggerIn since moving back home so we decided to go watch the State / Arizona game. We love the atmosphere there and the staff does a great job keeping the customers engaged. Kudos especially to Summer! I was SO looking forward to having some of the best wings in Starkville but wanted to wait until later in the game to do so. Unfortunately the game didn't start till 10 CDT and halftime was nearly 11:30. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that the kitchen shut down at 11:00 so we couldn't order any food. I would have loved to stay for the whole game but we couldn't continue drinking without food so we had to cut it short. My wife had the Philly Cheese Nachos and I had the world's best Pepper Jack Cheese Sticks. I'll make the 30 mile drive just for the cheese sticks any day. Again, we LOVE the food and atmosphere and will be going back for sure. We'll just have to go earlier.

UPDATE… We went back after a football game so I could get my wing fix. I got the Starkville Style wings and they are as amazing as I remember. I also want to send a shout out to our waitress Carly! She’s amazing and I’m sure she will do well in life after graduating this year! Thanks...

I like Stag. I come here a couple times a month at least since they opened the new location. Food is pretty good but there are no healthy options if that’s what you’re looking for. Drinks are alright. The ambiance is very bland and boring like waiting in a doctors office. I usually get the fried chicken sandwich and it’s great. Tonight I tried the “Boardtown Bird” and that’s why I decided to finally leave this review. I was really disappointed. It sucked to be one of their signature dishes. The service here is really bad, unless you sit at the bar (where there is a 50/50 chance you’ll get good service) or Alyssa Miller is your server. She’s always great. The waitresses otherwise seem to care more about chatting amongst themselves than giving you good service. If I could have left a 2.5 I would have, but rounded up to 3 since that’s my option. The food is okay, the service is pretty bad, and there is no place to park. I’d go somewhere...
