Visiting GSU and I haven’t been to Dingus McGees in a long time. It smelled really good as we drove up. Got our IDs checked at the door and sat down to eat. It took a few minutes for our waiter to show up. Turned out he was standing less than 10 feet from our table where staff congregate at a register and drink machines. He took our drink order. After returning with our drinks, he finally took our order. It was a little loud so there was a little difficulty in communicating. After waiting a reasonable time out food was brought out. The food was great, but sadly the service was lacking. Waiter came back once but didn’t ask about our drinks. After finishing he took my plate but never asked about our drinks. Seemed he was more concerned about other things. As we were all finished and super thirsty, I asked for our ticket and he then asked if i wanted another drink. At this point it, I’d rather not keep waiting on service. I’m probably a little old school and expect more from wait staff. Great staff asks and takes care of customers needs. The kids all seemed to have pitchers of some concoction. They just used a straw and drank right from the pitcher.
