The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible. We were seated immediately, but we did not see our server for close to 15 minutes, and that was after my husband went to ask the hostess for help. We saw a different table get seated, and their order taken immediately, by a different server. When our server put our drinks on the table, she set them down, holding them from the top, with her fingers all over the top of the cups. Thankfully we were given straws. After our wings arrived, we asked for an additional ranch to go with our wings, and a different server brought it out almost 15 minutes later, after the wings were gone. Our server was not passing by our table often, but I do not know if she was busy in the kitchen. When she brought the receipt, after we had finished eating, and our leftovers were boxed, we gave her the credit card, and my husband went to get the car. After a few minutes, I stood by our table, looking for our server. There was no sign of her at the hostess counter, drink station, bar, cash register, or in the dining room. I walked to the register, to see if another waitress might have it. They did not, so they said they would attempt to find her. She came out of the kitchen, almost 10 minutes after I had given her my credit card, carrying a tray full of drinks. She set them down on the bar, and walked to the register to ring me up, telling me I could just leave the receipt on the counter. Read moreWe were traveling through the area and we wanted to order dinner without having to menu surf looking for vegan options. We were happy to see a typical favorite, the Mellow Mushroom. I ordered a vegan pizza with mushrooms. The order taker said they were out of mushrooms but had the mushroom medley instead and it costs extra. I indicated that it was fine and she told me 15-20 minutes. We were 10 minutes away so that was perfect. I checked in with her when we got there and then took my dog for a brief walk. I came back in and was told to sit at the bar while I waited. The bartender was friendly and offered small talk and drinks. I declined since we had a lengthy trip ahead of us. After waiting a while longer I ordered a soda to go since my husband was now texting me from the car that he was thirsty and hot. (It was 95 degrees out). He didn't charge me for it. The waitress finally brought our pizza out. Asked me to look at it to make sure it was ok.. weird. So I opened it in front of her. She said that's all the mushrooms they had left. It looked like the crumbs off of a cutting board after chopping mushrooms. It was barely discernable as mushrooms. I put more oregano on my pizza that there was "mushrooms" on my pizza. For a place called Mellow Mushroom, they don't know how to serve mushrooms. I only gave it 2 stars because it was vegan and the pizza still tasted good, but I'd have given it more if service didn't take 3x as long as they actually gave me and charged for what was ordered. Read moreI had the worst experience in any restaurant in statesboro at this location. For one, it took 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. Second thing, we ordered two full whole order of pretzels and got one. When I asked the waiter he told me a whole order was 3 and two whole orders was the 6 pretzels. He had to go in the back to verify. We didn’t get the second order till we walked out. Third, the pizza came out for me and my wife and our kids pizza never came out till the end. Mind you we were there for almost two hours. Who wants to eat their pizza when their kids don’t have their pizza. We were told by the waiter that someone else took the second order of pretzels and that’s why they were late. We sat there for over 30 minutes with a full pizza sitting on our table waiting on our order. We had enough and my wife went to ask for a manager (we never do this hardly because we both have worked in the restaurant industry) but this time this was different. The manager ultimately comped our meal for us but the manager should have came to the table to tell us that themselves. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
