Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Statesboro

I'm not sure we've ever had a good experience here. We only went today because we were in a hurry and didn't have time to go across town to the other, and better, Sonic. We figured it would be fine since we only wanted to order drinks. We ordered on the app to get the discount, and we checked in when we arrived. The screen showed we had checked in correctly and said our order was "in the kitchen." We waited for over ten minutes before my husband finally waved one of the employees over after she finished delivering something to a nearby car. She asked what we'd ordered, then went inside. She came back and asked if I was sure we'd placed an order because she couldn't find it. I pointed to the screen, which still showed our order was "in the kitchen." She went back inside, our screen went blank, and she eventually came out with our drinks in a carrier. (We ordered tea, so there wasn't even anything complicated about the drink order.) We drove off after having been there for twenty minutes just to get three teas and a cup of ice water. Then to top it off, we got down the road and I realized the drink carrier was leaking all over my jeans. Two of the cups were leaking and the bottom was filled with tea and water.

Next time, I'll just run across town. It would have been cheaper, and I probably wouldn't have ended up frustrated and covered in...

GO TO THE OTHER SONIC. This is not the one. It's true, the staff is incredibly lazy, will refuse to take your order at the parking window, makes you go through the car line. I tried to park, a random lady came through the speaker and very hurriedly said, "We're only doing drive-thru." And immediately left. I know this because I tried to clarify that I had an online order so would I still need to go around? No response. Total silence. I barely even understood what she said at first, what if I tried to ask, "What?" You get no help.

Sure it's just college kids working, but the kids at the other Sonic at least pretend to be polite. This Sonic will let you KNOW how much they hate your time.

And over 60% of the time I go, their ice cream machine doesn't work, in the middle of dinner rush hour too. Wth Sonic?! This has happened in the middle of the day, afternoon, and night, so I'm convinced the employees are actually just lazy instead of some "cleaning time."

Staff is not kept up to any hygenic standards. Yes, their fake nails and 3-inch long fake eyelashes are a bit scary.

Never returning. Don't risk your sanity at this Sonic. There's a different one in Statesboro that is much newer. When are they gonna sell this building?...

I went to Sonics tonight. I ordered a double bacon cheese burger meal with only lettuce and added pickles. I got a large tater tot and a medium sprite. They forgot my sprite, and had to go make it for me. I get home, and open my burger, and I noticed that there wasn't any bacon and they forgot my pickles. Also, I had cold to lukewarm tots. I call expecting them to at least redo the burger for me. They ask me to turn around for a side of bacon. Mind you, I already told them that I was home. I told them that, me turning around, wan't possible. So he tells me that he'll right my name down for a side of bacon. I hung up. Why would you mess up an order, and only offer the item you forgot. Who would drive all the way back there just for a side of bacon. I ordered a burger, not a side of bacon. He could have at least offered the burger to be redone on a different day. But he thought only offering a side of bacon...
