I really wanted to like this place more because I love supporting locally owned businesses. I thought the crust was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had My wife said the crust was too thin, some places it was .. to me the crust was better than Frozen . The kids enjoyed the pizza they said it was better than Little Caesars.. me and the wife got a specialty pizza I would have to say the ham seem to be pretty low quality. A couple pieces almost tasted like bologna I picked it off and tried it . For some reason the dark pieces tasted like bologna. The other pieces tasted like just chop ham . And I love ham ... I was thinking it was going to be more like Canadian ham. But I was wrong. If we ever eat there again definitely no ham for a topping. The rest of the toppings like the hamburger meat was really good. The veggies were fresh . On our pizza. The sauce on the pizza is good but not great . I did notice on ours there was some extra wet places. I don't know if that was from the sauce or from the toppings but it was not oil it was just like extra juice. We ended up getting a special 22 for 2 16-in pizzas with one topping and not a bad price. We also got cheese bread and garlic knots. The cheese bread was pretty good for what it was . The crust was nice and it was thicker than the pizza. The garlic knots. One of them did have a little burnt bottom that I had but it was still good and the marinara sauce for some reason do not taste exactly the same as what was on the pizza I know sometimes places use two kinds of sauces but I'm unsure on if it was the same or not. And I spent a little less than $70 . I believe this is a fair review a 3 out of five stars.. there's always a possibility because it was a Sunday. It's kind of a off day I think the service could have improved. The server she did her job but could have checked on us more. We were greeted by a gentlemen coming in asking us if we wanted to dine in or take out. He also took part of our order. Pretty sure the guy in one of the pictures could be the owner and that maybe who would have took part of the order originally . Also, before I wrap up this review I would like to point out one thing that we seen another pizza business leave. A bad review did not notice it until we actually sat down. I just want to point this out if the owner reads this. We did report that review. It's very unfair for someone else that has the same kind of place to leave a bad review originally I was hoping the guy was going to come back to the table but we never seen him again other than helping out somebody else. And if we are in town again we only live like an hour away. There's a possibility we'll stop back in there and get something else to eat another day either way, continue to work hard and I love to support locally...
Read moreQuaint little Pizzeria in a busy shopping plaza. I went Friday night and the parking lot was so full you could barely drive. I only had 5 dollars and I asked about pizza by the slice but they were out. I looked at a menu and I didn’t really see anything else I could afford for my son. I went outside and I was promptly followed by a kind man. He went to his car and gave me a coupon for a free slice with a soda! The goodness!!!
To our surprise the slice was huge!! My son was very hungry and he made the pizza disappear like magic.
Saturday night we went back with the rest of my family. We sat in the small dining room and noticed all the beautiful Renaissance Art works on the wall. I walked over to a huge painting and could now see it was ancient Greece. I loved the Aristotle depiction I believe in the bottom with his compás and math tools.
I digress.
THE FOOD! the food was decisions. I had the gyro and it was very flavorful. The taziki was thinner and more tart than I am used to but it complemented the soft pita and juicy meat. I really wanted to try the spanikopita (not a speller) but the mozzarella is no good for my belly. Maybe if we go again I will call and ask if I could order a special one ahead of time as the layers are prepared before service.
Abby, our server, was very organized and efficient. I saw how well the two girls, Abby and Precious, maintained the dining room. Great job with absolutely no busser or host for support. The girls checked on their tables regularly and kept the dining room spotless.
The kitchen did a great job and even reprepared my 3 year old’s meal (she’s a queen) when it wasn’t to her liking.
I study people and these people, this business is funny very well and happy. We will be back!
We are new to Statesboro but so far, our family is loving the community vibes...
Read moreI called and placed an order for a chef salad, no onions, no mozzarella add cheddar. The guy taking my order seemed to be very distracted while taking my order. He asked several times for me to repeat what I didn't want. While picking up my order I saw exactly why he was so distracted. He was typing into his cellphone while on the phone taking orders. I stood at the register waiting to be waited on even after hanging up the business phone so that he could text away on his phone. The normal cashier that I think was also waitressing came around the corner and asked if I'd been helped because she saw him distracted texting. She told him a customer is waiting Ethan, that phone can wait!!! I really appreciated her for that because I was going to see just how much longer he would ignore me standing there. I live out of the city limits but I get home to open my salad and it has onions which I have an allergy to and I also had mozzarella which meant I was charged for the cheddar. After asking me the specifics of my order so many times... that order should have been perfect! I was extremely disappointed with my service and I wasted my money. I couldn't even eat it because of...
