Greg's Famous Barbeque — Restaurant in Statesville

I'd never been here before. Walked in at lunch. Three people standing behind counter doing chores, two of them saw me. Sign says seat yourself. Main seating area was full so walk to the room on the right and sit down. Wait for five minutes, no one greets me so I move to the open seat, right near the end of the counter. Gal behind counter is wrapping silverware in napkins. I pick up a menu to let them know I'm interested. A server comes over to the booth right behind me, takes their order. I glance at her a few times to let her know I'm interested. She walks right past me, behind the counter and never comes back. I put the menu back on the counter and walked out. Waiting for the waitress to return to take our order who didn’t return wasn’t the worse part. When you have a senior struggling on a walker to be seated and one of the staff tells them they are closing down the section to clean it she can get them a table. Then she tries to save grace by saying she can bring him a chair at the end of the booth. What kind of mess is that? We will all be seniors one day so PLEASE show some respect! Walked out and won’t return. Kinda sad since we drove from Charlotte just to eat there. Won’t waste that time again! Teach your staff some respect. It doesn’t matter the time of day. This place used to be a great place to come and eat for southern cooking but it has went downhill is a rundown restaurant that needs to be updated it's not clean it all their food is great they have the worst wait staff I've ever seen. Went in there to eat the other day all the tables were full except to which that's good but when all those people got up that room set with all the dirty dishes people are coming in and nowhere to sit and the waitress wouldn't even clean up the tables when she didn't have anything to do she plainly lied to an employee that she tried to clean it up but she never did. I don't think I'll ever be going back there to eat again and it used to be my favorite place to eat it...
