Rice Fun — Restaurant in Statesville

I use to love this place. UNTIL... I had 2 horrible experiences! 1st time I ordered my favorite, Orange chicken. A brown paper towel had been cooked in the chicken. Luckily I started eating it there. They argued with me it was seasoning until i pulled it out and pointed out the sink next to the grill. They didn't offer to recook my food. Just quickly took the plate back and gave me my money and sent me on my way. #SorryService 2nd time I thought I'd try them again.... Ordered House Rice! Got home started eating and after 2 bites I realize the pork is NOT DONE! SOOO I call back and the lady on the phone rudely argued with me saying it was cooked. They were closing so she couldn't get me a cooked plate she could refund my money. OK... So I decided to wait and call a manager in the am. Did that, spoke to a lady manager and she suggested I stop eating there. So ima do just that. You should Not go here!!! And everyone else that reviews this place and u decide to eat at Rice fun, check out the sink beside the grill. Hopefully they Dont cook paper towels in ur food too. Nasty! Coming from a very humble customer service...

Over the past several years, I probably ordered "Sesame chicken" over 100 times from Rice Fun; the sweetness combined with a slight salty taste in a rich sauce was perfect combined with Fried rice. However, something seemed unusual about my most recent visit.

Not only was the sauce absent, but the chicken tasted extremely salty and didn't have abit of sweetness in it - I might as well have been eating a spoon of salt. The taste was so unbearable, I went back to the establishment to request a remake. The staff agreed and only took a few minutes.

I returned to my car only to be greeted by the same salty, mess of boneless chicken. Absolutely nothing changed..... why even remake the order? I've had plenty of Chinese foods (Grow Green, Shanghai buffet, Panda express, New JinJins, etc.), but this by far was the worst I've ever tasted.

The experience was so bad, the thought of eating there completely destroys my appetite. Not only will I not visit this location, but no other ones as well..... that's how bad it is. From that whole experience, I...

I recently ordered chicken wings, egg drop soup, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, egg rolls, crab rangoons, and Chinese donuts. The Chinese donuts were the only redeeming part of this meal—they were fresh and tasted as they should.

Everything else was absolutely subpar and frankly fit for the trash. The dishes were bland, stale, and carelessly prepared, showing a complete lack of respect for customers and basic culinary standards.

I don’t leave negative reviews lightly, but this was one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve ever had. If this restaurant wants to stay in business, I strongly recommend that they reevaluate the quality and preparation of its food. Never again and I will make it my business to steer anyone away from this location. I can't speak for any of the other establishments, however, I don't believe they would be any better.
