Happy Dragon — Restaurant in Stayton

No one was present when we walked in in an alarm on the door had a robot voice that said, "restaurant door open." Still nobody came so we seated ourselves. A while later a woman came to ask us if we wanted anything to drink etcetera. Apparently she was the only employee working I don't know if she cooks the food or if there's a cook in the back or something. She was white country folk. She was very energetic and seemed highly stressed going back and forth from the bar to the restaurant so she was distracted a lot and fast paced. I feel this business makes more money off of selling alcoholic drinks in the bar then actual food. Seems a lot of people go to the bar and apparently it has video poker and the weird homeless type people go in there.

When we got our food it was not very good and I was highly disappointed. The chow mein hardly had any noodles in it and then it had those weird crunchy noodles and it felt like all of the vegetables and things were out of a can. I'm not even sure if they make their egg clover soup from scratch or they buy it pre-made. I had general Chow's chicken in the sauce was like watery syrupy and it wasn't really like it should be and the shrimp and snow peas thing felt like all of that vegetables were canned vegetables out of water and then stir fry. It was really cheap and it wasn't that delicious. I felt really bloated afterwards and depressed. The price is about average and I was hoping this would be a mom-and-pop Asian owned restaurant with legitimate Asian food. We are passing through town to go to silver Creek falls. I will never...

While trying to get an order replaced, I was told by the server everything was noted and I could get my meal anytime. I called the next day and the manager, Li, proceeded to make excuses and tried to tell me that she was told the situation but "something abouth something" I honestly couldn't understand and when I explained I didn't know what she was trying to say, I was just trying to get the meal I had already paid for, she then said she had customers to deal with and she was busy and then hung up on me! I called back thinking maybe it was an error and she hung up on me again! I called back a 3rd time to ask for the manager and that's when I found out it was her, I explained again I was just trying to get my meal replaced and click!!! My family have been regulars for years, food and service always wonderful, but this was absolutely beyond rude and unprofessional!!! She would barely let me speak and I could barely understand her. I did remind her when she said she was busy with customers that I took was a customer, one that had already paid for a meal they messed up! Again, great food when you get what you ordered, but Li was so rude and dismissive I was near tears. Shame...

We’ve have eaten here several times and have always had great food, but this time I don’t know where to begin...ugh Usually our plates are heaping and almost over flowing, but this time not only was our soup and tea cold( twice we sent back) but the proportions was fairly small (there would not have been enough to take home if we would have gagged down the food) Not only was my shrimp freezer burnt but the food also luke warm! Usually the food comes out farely fast but this time it took for ever!!! At least 45 min.. I don’t know if there is a new cook or bad day or wth but it will be along time before we are back! And the sad thing is it was my wife’s birthday dinner and the whole family showed up from out of town!!! I really hope we don’t get “Food Poisoning” Also we could here the staff cussing and talking explicitly from the kitchen! Not good for little ears!
