Chicken Shack Sterling Heights 18 Mile — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

I grew up right around the corner from the original Chicken Shack in RO so I was super excited to get one just down the road from us now. We placed an online order for pickup and it said our order would be ready in 15min. When we arrived to pick it up, the employees were standing around talking and we learned our order hadn’t even been started yet. We waited another 15 minutes for our food to be ready. The chicken was just ok: the dark meat was hot and juicy while the white meat was dry and tough. We got a few decent sized pieces but most of the pieces were comically small. The chicken tenders were tough and stringy. The potatoes were cold and sitting in yellow butter spread in the bottom of the container, they weren’t even warm enough to melt the butter. I was so excited to see that Chicken Shack has opened in my neighborhood! Just what we needed on this side of town. I had my first order delivered last night. Everything was perfect (almost) and prepared the way I remember from pre-covid. My only complaint would be with the broasted potatoes. Although they looked perfect, they were sort of hard - as though they had been reheated in the microwave. I still ate them though! I especially liked that they had been cut into smaller pieces like they used to be. Keep up...

The potatoes looked like they were cut up and raw with oil. The tenders looks defrosted at best.
