Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

If I could rate this location a quarter of a star, I certainly would. I visited to order a Banana Split Blizzard, something I've done effortlessly at many other locations over the years, but I was initially told it would only be a regular banana split.

As I was placing my order, the staff member began speaking over me, asking questions about toppings. I paused to explain that I couldn’t hear her while we were both talking. She smiled and mentioned she was inquiring about nuts. I replied that I was getting to that in my order. It's worth noting that I speak clearly and at a normal pace.

After interrupting me, she insisted I would receive a regular banana split instead of a Blizzard. I explained that I regularly order a Banana Split Blizzard, but she dismissively responded that it would be runny. I politely decided to leave and go to a different Dairy Queen.

Rude Service beware!

They do not serve customers in the order you come in. I have come in on several occasions and this last time it happened again so I decided to let them know. Six families were served before our order was completed. When telling them the girl stated that she was new and we had a large order. Five items very well may be a lot to her but the Six families before us having 3 to 6 items each were served before she was finished. What made it even worst, she got an attitude and shook her head when I was speaking. She even forgot to give me one of the items. The owner stuck up for her but did apologize but it was too late for me and an apology was not going to cut it for her terrible service. Also my berry smooth tasted more like vanilla ice cream. HORRIBLE...

Ordered a birthday cake online through this location and the next day they called to let me know the exact image I selected wasn't available, but a very similar one was. When I went to get the cake it was ready and looked great. Better than what the online preview looked like. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful- both on the phone and in person.
