Mac Kenzie Tavern — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

We live nearby but had never visited MacKenzie Tavern until recently. Glad we did! The food is quite good, especially when Yamin is in the kitchen. Pasta dishes are always on point. Good gyro, too. Domestic beer prices are among the best I can find. I've seen some reviews that describe the place as "a bit of a dive." And your point is? It's nothing fancy but neither am I. Try it....

The waitress was polite. The food was 'Ok. My hubby did like the Rueben though. The rest was typical hole in the wall bar food. The food took forever and most of it should have been easy to fry quickly. The long island iced teas were good and at a good price. We would go back just for those...not...
