CHIKO - where Chinese and Korean flavors meets comfort!!
If anyone is looking for their next casual go-to spot that balances bold flavors with a cozy vibe, Chiko might just become your new favorite hangout spot.
The menu is so simple and you’ll just want to try a little bit of everything which we indeed ended up ordering.
The food and the staff both filled with warmth and love.
Start strong with dumplings - the garlic shrimp and veggie dumplings are a both must. They come with a flavorful chili oil which was a highlight of today and I ended up putting that chilli oil in almost every dish as that is to die for.
It was chilly day today still wanted to try the chilled peanut noodle salad which is so refreshing- creamy, crunchy and full of texture.
Kids enjoyed the furikake buttered noodles but as my kids love a lil bit of heat they ended up putting the shrimp chili oil to spice the buttered noodles.
Another dish for kids ordered was crispy chicken and tots which they enjoyed.
Loved the cumin lamb stir fry the meat was cooked to perfection soulful indeed.
Vegetarians don’t be disheartened as there is good veg options as well Tofu bibimbap loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection Korean veg garden noodles, these are glass noodles and so light and bursting of amazing flavors and textures Even their house fried rice is just yum yum yum. These couldn’t be clicked as once you start eating taking pictures take a backseat 😜
The finisher : A must try coconut custard. The staff was super sweet and kind to put some candles on this custard when they came to know it was our lil ones bday. Just perfectly sweet, the candied almonds give a crunch and the dash of lemon zest gives a nice freshness with basil seeds and garnish of the gochugaru pepper was an amazing way to round out the meal.
CHIKO nails the balance between creativity and comfort, bringing together two beloved cuisines with thoughtful...
Read moreMy experience with this restaurant was very mixed. Some of the food was amazing, some of it was very mid, and one particular item was offensively bad. Starting with the good: The cumin lamb noodles were so delicious; truly a highlight of our meal. I also really enjoyed the fried rice. I thought it was an excellent dish. The brisket was unremarkable. It felt far too similar to what I would get at a barbecue restaurant and while that wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, it also didn't feel like it fit in with the rest of the meal and that was a little jarring. Finally, the offensively bad: the chicken wings were one of the worst chicken wings I've ever had in my entire life. It's hard to say what these would have been like in the restaurant because they were prepared for takeout in a vessel that completely seals in all of the steam, which if you know anything about transporting fried foods, that's the last thing you should do. I truly took one bite of this wing and could not get myself to take another bite. It was chewy. There was no crunch. There was no crisp. Just an awful texture for a chicken wing, especially one that's supposed to be double fried. These may be better in the restaurant, however I will never know because I will never order them there. I understand the need to standardize takeout vessels for a given restaurant, however, if they need to do this, they need to take the chicken wings off of the...

Finally had the opportunity to check out Chiko and it was alright. The ambiance and staff were great even with some hiccups.
For Happy Hour, we ordered the Garlic Shrimp Dumplings, Lychee Martini and Mango Mai Tai. Please note that the HH menus** they have (as of 7/3/25) is incorrect. They claim that ONLY drinks are included for the bar/dinning area HH whereas the patio has all day everyday HH for bites and drinks. They say that the HH menu specifies this but it doesn’t. They honored the Garlic Shrimp Dumplings at the HH price as the menu states but that this would be a one time thing. They acknowledged that their menu is incorrect and it needs to be changed. Before ordering make sure to confirm what is and is not included to avoid the headache.
** I have included a photo of HH menu in my post as I had seen it on 7/3/25
For main dishes, we ordered the Spicy Bulgogi Stir Fry and Soy Glazed Brisket. I was really looking forward to trying these and unfortunately only one was worth it. The Spicy Bulgogi Stir Fry with rice cakes was great. It wasn’t too sweet, had the perfect amount of spice and chewy rice cakes. Whereas the Soy Glazed Brisket was too sweet and drowned in sauce that the soy flavor was all you could taste.
I’m glad I got the chance to try this restaurant out but unfortunately I probably...
