I recently hosted a special occasion for my husband’s milestone birthday at Cherry Blossom Banquet Hall and while the venue itself is beautifully decorated and has a great ambiance, our experience was marred by some serious shortcomings, particularly with their consumption bar.

Initially, Mark, the representative we interacted with, seemed friendly and communicated well in English. However, things took a turn once we signed the contract. When it came time to discuss our consumption charges, he suddenly became evasive and unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated and cheated. Despite our repeated requests for a clear accounting of our drinks—whether on paper or through tracking—Mark's responses were vague, and his guilty demeanor did little to inspire confidence.

The cocktail drinks were overly diluted, and guests expressed their disappointment the following day, saying they had hoped to enjoy the party and let loose on the dance floor, but the drinks did not meet their expectations.

To make things worse, most guests were enjoying scotch and whiskey. However, whenever they set their glasses down to chat with friends or take photos, the staff from Cherry Blossom would quickly remove them. Often, these glasses still contained more than a quarter of whiskey, but the staff disposed of them without hesitation. This forced guests to go get new drinks, which were again counted and tracked as extras and impacted out bill

For every drink ordered, the staff was supposed to draw a line on a paper, and after five drinks were consumed, they would create a square with a line inside it to indicate the count of five. However, most of these squares were drawn so perfectly that they appeared to be connected without any extra lines at the edges, indicating they were made in a continuous manner rather than being recorded individually. This clearly suggested that there was some dishonesty involved in the tracking process.

Additionally, we had requested dim lighting for dancing, but they kept the lights on, which completely ruined the atmosphere we were hoping to create. They did not know which switch belongs to which light. I literally had to request them every 30 mins to dim them.

In short, I cannot recommend the alcohol package at Cherry Blossom Banquet Hal. While the setting may be appealing, the lack of transparency and poor service regarding the consumption bar turned what should have been a memorable celebration into a frustrating experience. If you do choose to go here, make sure you have someone closely monitoring your consumption, or you might find yourself in a similar situation.

Cherry Blossom ruined my wedding, which happened this past weekend. Plain and simple. From the sheer incompetence and rudeness of the staff to the blatant disorganization, I would give this place zero stars if I could. My family and I have been planning this weekend for nearly a year, and as the bride, I had been wholeheartedly trusting of Marco and his promises to deliver on what we asked. Instead, he took money from us only to cheat us in the end by not delivering on any promise. Here is what they completely failed in:

Food was closed early despite our request to keep the buffet open all night, and so my family ordered boxed pizzas because they starved. We had family travel out of town to attend and yet they went home hungry. Also changing the location of where the buffet would be despite us specifically requesting it stay in the venue room

No fruit was present that they said they do on a complimentary basis.

They purposely changed decor because they deemed it “looked better” as opposed to following the wishes of the bride and groom.

They did not serve the desserts and I ended up taking home two full sheet cakes home that was supposed to serve 150 people and I paid so much of my own money for because of their blatant disregard for detail and attention

They closed the bar not even halfway throughout the night despite us requesting open bar, and proceeded to up charge our guests with items we had not requested on the beverage menu

Staff was horribly rude, with many guests reporting that servers had nasty attitudes on multiple occasions throughout the night and not even bringing things like hot water to the elder guests who could not move as easily

As I recall this nightmare occasion, I regret ever having my wedding here. I am embarrassed on behalf of my family and would never ever have an event here again. They don’t care about you or ensuring your event is one that can be cherished. I’ll forever remember how my wedding left me with bitter memories because of them. Stay far...

we've just recently had my sister's wedding at cherry blossom banquet and i have to say we are very disappointed with the management and the staff. months before the wedding we have met with the manager a couple to times to make sure all the preparations will be done right on the wedding day, and we were promised that everything will be ready for us when we arrive. however, that was not the case. we had problems with the lighting. when we arrived the staff told us that the dance floor light projectors were not working! all of our photos and videos came out super dark due to this. the second issues we had was the screen projector. we paid extra to rent a screen projector to view a video during the event, but when we attempted to use it, the sound was not working and the projector was not aligned with the screen. we asked them to fix it for is but we were told that they can't do anything! the third issue was the DJ system that we rented from them had this robotic sound that made the songs sound awful, and of course they couldn't fix that either. not to mention that all the staff that were present at the event did not speak english AT ALL, and we had to use hand gestures to tell them what we need. the day after the event we contacted the management and informed them of our issues and asked them to find a solution to the problems that we faced, but 2 weeks after trying to get a response from them we didn't even receive an apology, instead they denied everything, even though we have the full event on tape which proves all of the issues we faced.
