China Village — Restaurant in Sterling

So I ordered orange chicken today, when I got into the store it was a heavy set girl in a black shirt working the register and another small women give a lady her order. While the cashier was place the guy in front of me order, the other girl helping asked if I was picking up. I said yes, orange chicken. She replied 12.70, I then gave her 13 dollars. She turn sideways too the cash while counting the money. She then took a dollar and put it in her left pocket ( I saw you chick, come on now) and said something in Chinese I guess, to the cashier. The small women who took the dollar then proceed to the back, just as the cashier started yelling 12.70 Sir. I replied: I gave the girl 13 dollars she took a dollar and ran to the back. Cashier reply: yelling 12.70 sir 12.70, I then gave her a dollar rambling about what had just happened. She replied 12.70 sir, I then said count what's in your head. I ask her what's her name because I was going to write a review, she said: Amanda, which I no is a lie but I'd rather not argue. This is so funny, they played me for a dollar haha. Now they have hurt the company, I hope it was worth it. To the manager who may what to see if this is true, I came in today 9/13/2015 time 5:58pm check your camera. This experience was extremely disappointing. After spending over $60 on food, I simply asked for some hot oil and was met with attitude and poor service. The container I was given looked old, barely filled, and of very low quality. When I asked if that was all I would receive for such a large order, I was told, “Oh, we charge for it, man,” with no prior notice — something I was unaware of since my girlfriend placed the original order.

I returned to the store only to find they were charging $1 for a small, poorly filled container of oil that looked unappetizing (the oil looked like pus). It’s frustrating to know that customers dining in receive better service and free condiments, while takeout customers are treated this way.

Moving forward, I’ll gladly drive across the street and take my business to Master Wok at the mall instead of contributing to the survival of a place that provides such poor customer service and...

The dinner was very good. the delivery was a little slow but the man was very kind and polite.

the shrimp, in the “shrimp and cashews” were HUGE but it had very few cashews. the sauce was amazing. I ordered mine with no vegies, so i cant comment on them.

my hubby loved his kung pow (sp?) chicken but wished there was zucchini in it. it appeared it was made with dark meat chicken, which is way better in this dish, than dry white meat (which some others do)

the fried rice was just average as it only had maybe soy sauce in it. we were hoping for the usual added egg and vegies in it.

the spring rolls were amazing! just wish they offered duck sauce vs only soy and mustard packets. luckily, i had duck sauce in the fridge.

appears there is NO msg, as our hearts didnt race and our blood pressure was steady. so, I assume it was just good natural food.
