Tous les Jours Cafe Sterling — Restaurant in Sterling

I stopped by one day after work because I was craving something sweet. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, but I knew I wanted to go to a bakery or some kind of patisserie. I didn't know it was inside the Lotte Plaza Market. They have several tables and chairs for dining in if you prefer. It was very clean and orderly. They have many choices for bakery items and pastries. Half the shelves were empty when I had gone though, I think it's because I came in at the end of the day.

There was one barista person there who helped me decide on the drink of choice and also explained a few things. They don't really have boba tea choices, but they have cold drinks and hot drinks typical of patisseries. They have many selections of pastries and cakes as well. They provided fast and friendly service.

I ended up getting a strawberry-mango blended drink. It's not quite like a smoothie, not quite a juice with pulp. The closest thing I think it's like is fruta licuada with water. It was pretty good: not too bland, not too sweet. I think it would be better if it was ice cold. I forgot the name of the pastry I chose, but it's like a strawberry cream pastry. It was absolutely delicious! I loved it.

I would definitely come back and try other pastries and bakery items. If I'm in the mood, I would definitely try other cold drinks...

I’m leaving 1 star because of the new lady that is working here. She is rude and does NOT know how to make coffee. She asks her customers how she should make their coffees. My ice coffees come out like flavored matcha water and my hot coffees taste like foamy milk. My matcha iced latte has no honey or lavender, it’s just bitter matcha! I paid 11$ including a tip for just two coffees I didn’t even like, when I asked this lady to remake it she looked at me confused. When she did remake one of my coffees she sized it down?! I had ordered a large and she remade me a small. She seems very inattentive and aloof.

What really ticks me off is her attitude, she walks around and goes through things as if she really doesn’t want to work there. For me a coffee in the morning or noon is an important start to the day, I like to see good friendly energy and she leaves a bad taste in my mouth even more than the bitter matcha water she makes for me.

When I initially came to this coffee shop a few months ago, I would order the same coffee and it not only was GOOD but also made so beautifully. I could see the lavender at the top, it was artsy and had a hint of honey. Now it’s just UGLY GREEN BITTER WATER.

I really want to give a higher rating because their pastries and cakes are always delicious! We get their whole cakes all the time and the store is very close to us compared to the much larger store in Chantilly. However, I am giving it 3 stars in hopes of the owners seeing and considering my honest experience:

The location has extremely limited stock of pastries/baked goods available to buy. Not sure if they just make very few for the day...but everytime we go in, there's like 1 item of each type left or nothing at all.
