The Factory Pub N Grub — Restaurant in Sterling

We went there with a group of 6 on 3/17. It was packed, but there was 2 bar stools at the bar. Our friend wanted the 3 women to be able to sit. The red head behind the bar came flying out and demanded that the chairs be taken back to the pub table. My friend was sitting in 1, and the red head practically pulled the chair out from underneath her! We tried to explain that there was already 2 chairs at the bar, she did not care! She said there were chairs missing from the pub table, and they had to be moved back. I then told her she was "rude!!!" She asked me very defensively "how was I rude?" We tried to explain again that my friend only moved ONE chair, and that we didn't know it couldn't be moved, and there were TWO chairs already at the bar. She fired back with " can I come into your house and move your furniture?" I said we are done here, and my best friend and I looked at other and knew instantly we were NOT staying to be treated so rudely !! Our group walked out. We went to the CANDLELIGHT in Rockfalls. We walked in, and we were greated with smiles, and we were welcomed!! We had top notch service!! The food was amazing, and t he staff, second to no one!!! I have ate at the Factory before, and we have had a few good waitresses, and only 1 that wasn't. But I refuse to be spoken to the way we were all spoken too last night. There were so many other ways she could have addressed us. We are reasonable people, and never have we been treated so poorly at...

Great food! Went on the recommendation of friends, who were kind enough to give us a gift certificate. Seated ourselves at a high top table and were immediately greeted by a waitress with menus and asked if we were ready to order drinks. Husband had a bottled beer and I had the lemon drop martini. These arrived very quickly. Our waitress gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. I had the black and bleu burger with fries and husband had the mushroom and Swiss burger with fries. Other options for sides included onion rings, sweet potato fries (add’l. $1) and waffle fries, among other things. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. My one problem was a spot I the burger that wasn’t quite as well done as the rest, but not enough to make me send it back. Definitely will return. Fast wait staff, great food, tasty drinks, nice decor! ETA: Second visit post-pandemic, and The Factory hasn’t lost a thing. Food is still excellent, staff is friendly, fast, and accurate. Take-out tonight, I recommend the homemade chips as a side for takeout as they hold up...

My wonderful daughter & a lot of friends held a fundraiser benefit for me at The Factory Pub N Grub restaurant & bar on Sunday March 25,2018. The employees working that day, were a group of refreshingly friendly, helpful, prompt customer care oriented people! The food prepared by them, made for our event, was very well liked by all who consumed it,as were all the other delicious plates of their menu items ordered by some attending our event,as well! The event had about 147 people coming and going throughout the the time in which we were there. My hubby,brother-in-law and myself stayed after all was wrapped up and done,for a burger each and the plate presentation of those was GREAT and the flavors DEEEeeeEEEeeelicious!
