Maple Pancake House — Restaurant in Sterling

My husband and I tried this place out for brunch after our Sunday church service. This place is a smaller diner but, they delivered fast and decently friendly service to our table. It was clean and rhe food was great! A bit more expensive than we expected or used to for a small town place, but still deserves the 4 stars. Probably will go back again sometime. when we can afford it, lol. 👌🏽😊

Went again today, 4-19-25, and the service and food are still great! 👌🏽😍 I must add though that Most of us customers have been waiting for the owner to Choose to keep this Diner open until the night time just One day a week at least as it just Makes Sense! Hear me out please ma'am or sir, lol. You'd make so much more money on staying open until dinner hours just One day a week, (a Friday or Saturday of course), as there are a Multitude of us that Love eating good, Diner, breakfast and Any food you serve, All Day Long! 🤤😋😍👌🏽 lol. Most Diner/family style restaurants like yours, practice this more successful business hours plan around the country as this allows y'all to cater to soo many more customers that may never be able to go out to your place before your early closing time of 2pm... Good food but not confident that it is a good choice. Health wise. Flies all over, girls bathroom is pieced together and seems broken. The sewer system seems to be messed up too. The smell is horrendous in the handicap bathroom because there is no cap on the sewer as far as I can see. They have stuffed paper towels down there instead. The dining rooms could be cleaner and less crowded as well. They've got so many tables on one side I don't see how people would be able to get out in time in case of a fire. It's also very very loud in there when there's people in it. The first time I've went there it was full on one side but not so much on the other. My main issue here was the cleanliness and noise that would make your head rattle. Staff seems very eager to please and busy. It's just not comfortable with the environment. How you can fix this: less tables so we can navigate the diningroom and not have to lean over people to get through when it's full. Get rid of the flies its a put off around food. Fix the sewer / smell in the girls bathroom. Use clean water and anti bacterial soap to wash the diningrooms and put some things on the walls to dull the noise and...

First off, the service is 2/10. I never asked for 6 extra sausage links (I asked for 3), I had a container filled with scrambled eggs (appears to be more than the 3 asked for), added a container of whip cream NEVER ASKED FOR. So I was overcharged for ALL these extra items of food that was NEVER asked for. Make sure to look at the food before you pay. I did get receipts from both ends, the order & what I paid. I was going to question why a small kids breakfast & an order of another under $10 was almost $30 including a few extra sides which was suppose to be 3 eggs scrambled & 3 sausage links, but it was packed, I wasn’t trying to be rude because I know w the prices eating out can get a little expensive. The food was ok, so I gave 2 stars, but the look I got when asked for a receipt was extremely rude & unfort it’s best I don’t do business w this place again.
