Franny’s is a brand-new restaurant in Stevens Point, and it is a winner! Whether youre a local, or if you’re passing through on vacation or business, I think you should give this place a try. Here’s why:
great service: we really put our server to work with extras, refills etc and she was happy to help. I know most servers at most restaurants are like this, but great service is something that is not optional and Franny’s checks that box.
quality: the ingredients are high quality and the recipes are executed perfectly.
menu: I can only speak to their breakfast menu but they have everything you could want, whether it’s something sweet or salty meat. I really like how you have the option to add nacho cheese sauce to your skillet or omlette. My recommendation: build-your-own breakfast skillet
price/value: the prices are about what you would expect. You can feed 2 adults for under $30. For the quality of the food and the portion sizes, this is a great value.
Portion sizes: This is the biggest thing. This is why the review is for 5 stars. Take it from someone with a huge appetite - you will leave satisfied no matter how hungry you are when you order. I was seriously impressed this morning. The pancakes are huge. The (homemade) toast is huge. My skillet was packed to the brim with meat, veggies, and potatoes. At some restaurants you will pay $12 for a plate and not be sure how much food you’re going to get. At Franny’s they are probably going to give you more food than you can eat...
Read moreFood was good. As for waitress, no correction food server: young inexperienced mind not on her work. Should know her plates. Mine was missing a sausage patti. When she brought recipe you could tell she had no plans to check back. Which she didn't. Was never offered or asked if either of us wanted more to drink. One thing hat really upsets 😡 me is when a food server just drops a ticket off with no intention of checking back. This is getting to be a common practice. Should be nipped in the butt face. I should decide when I'm done, not the worker. Brought it to the hostesses attention at checkout. She asked if said something to waitress about missing food. Said how could I. She never came back till she dropped the check on table. In fact she didnt even bring our food out some young man did. Which he had no idea of what was what. And stead of setting my food on the table, he reached across and handed me my plate. Bad thing to be doing. Serve the food to table not customers hands. Ham was great, sausage no so great, hashbrowns bland and tasteless. I may go back again and try just to be fair. But not really looking good for that. Hostess did take off some amount for he missing sausage, but to be honest , do think she really cared about...
Read moreWe wanted a booth. We were being seated when the chair(part of the booth)came loose with me on it. We were immediately moved to a second booth (thank you) with an older couple on the other side. My husband a small guy was almost catapulted into the table when the larger man sat heavily on the other side. The back support connecting theirs and ours was broken or loose causing my husband to chuckle that he may need back surgery after dinner. Again, my seat was safe but uncomfortable as the spring under the seat was broken and delapitated. Please ask for a table..for the love of God ask for a table. I ordered coffee, there's no creamer on table and I asked server for some. After about 20 minutes and after our food arrived I finally received the creamer. Coffee was still hot, so it must have been even better 20 minutes prior. We've eaten here before. I just wonder what's happened since. Get rid of those crappy booths make all tables. Get some energetic staff, because ur food is not bad at all. I was disappointed, to say the least. It will be a minute before we come back, and I won't recommend this...
