Wah wAH WAh,🍕🍺 They should only blame themselves. The food is below mediocre & beyond overpriced and the people they hire couldnt work a standard fast food job. If you like pretending your off in some foreign pub or tavern you should go elsewhere this place will only lead you to question your own judgement just because you wanted classic options pizza, burger, frys, salads, & beer which should take no more than 10-15mins to fully cook & assemble.(No matter how busy or underwhelmed they are) Places like this are the reflection of everyones horrible mindset of small town mentality they only put up with it and praise it because they know no better or cause they would rather settle with the unpleasantness purely just to save gas money than to go somewhere else than where they are @ in their miserable lil' lives, ever wonder what eating at an establishment run by gas station clerks & generation Z kids with no culinary or life experiences than look no further. However if you are made of $$ than save your self the trouble drive past this town & try Hood River OR White Salmon WA or The Dalles OR for a more memorable quality experience, your friends family & your own well being will thank you later for it dont make the mistake to stop just because of the convenience. Good Luck 👍 much better places in the world for beer & pizza like chuckie...

Came in on a Sunday after a long hike in the area. Ordered 2 pizzas, the woman taking the order informed me that it would be a 40 minute wait, to which I agreed to. Fast forward an hour and a half later .. I go up to ask about my order and the same woman who took my order told me our food would be out in 5 minutes. Annoyed, I go back to my table and shortly after 1 out of the 2 pizzas comes out.. I bite into it and it’s cold to the point where the cheese solidified.. I quickly grab the server who had placed it on my table and told her it’s cold and I would like for it to be heated- she rolled her eyes as if I was annoying her with my request. At that point I gave up on this place and my anger with the server and this horrible wait time precluded me from wanting to even eat here at all despite being absolutely starved. After she came back to tell me that they are reheating my food, I asked for a refund and told her I’m not going to tolerate anymore of this, she looked at me as if I was being an “unreasonable costumer” rolled her eyes and just said “ok” and she just walked away with the pizza and gave us a refund. To the waitress who projected her stress with her day onto us- get it together, and to the restaurant who can’t service a 50% occupied restaurant- really get it...

Just stopped by this afternoon after hiking. Place was busy as to be expected, the sign outside reads "check in with bartender" and as a waitress went by she said she'd be right with me. We waited, she came and went- obviously busy so we headed inside. We continued to wait. She finally asked us if we'd been helped and how many in our party. I replied no and 2. She was looking around the packed inside and I said outside was fine. She said we could've just sat ourselves (or something to that effect) and I pointed out that there's a sign OUTSIDE that instructs us to check in with bartender. I turned to go find a seat outside, my husband trailing behind so he saw her comment "WOW" about me to other patrons (I only heard her). We just decided to leave. This waitress had long brown hair and a frame on the slender side. The place was busy with only two waitresses and perhaps another server or something who I just saw entering tickets at a POS. (Plus bartender and kitchen staff). It's unacceptable to me for wait staff to try to shame me or act surprised for following their signage. At any rate, with so many brewpub options available, I'm sure I'll never need visit...

Walking Man makes a Cherry Stout that, alone, is worth the drive from wherever you happen to be. It is occasionally available at bars in Portland, but the atmosphere at the source in Stevenson adds to the experience. On our most recent visit, they had an inspited pairing on the food menu that I don't recall seeing anywhere else: chicken wings with Indian Butter Chicken sauce. Their version of the sauce wasn't my all time favorite, but I'm sure I'll be trying this again on my next visit. My guess is that, like me, a lot of people find themselves here in nice weather, when the siren call of the Gorge is loudest. So, don't be surprised to find a crowd, and a wait for your order to be prepared. Thankfully the outdoor seating is in a beautiful shaded area, so the wait will be pleasant.

Interesting ambiance. Obviously the seating outside is very popular as there was a waiting list with an estimated 20 minute wait time. The staff was very nice and helpful and suggested seating inside. Actually inside looked better than their popular "garden" seating. We ordered their black & blue pizza and a veggie burger. Pizza was burnt, but tasted okay. Sprinkling it with their locally made habanero sauce definitely helped. The veggie burger was rather dry and lacked any taste whatsoever. Which is really a pity these days when new meatless options like beyond meat and unbelievable burger options are readily available even in major restaurants. The $6 beer came in a tiny glass and was too sour for my taste, but of course each person may have their own beer preferences.

We had an amazing experience at Walking Man Brewing! We had a bigger group and called ahead. We talked with the manager and they were very helpful with arranging our visit. They could not have been more attentive and helpful. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the gorge that made our visit even more special. We tried several of their house beers, which were all delicious and had something for everyone in our group. The food was just as impressive—we loved the pizza, and the hummus plates were a hit as well. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Great beer, tasty food, top-notch service, and views that can’t be beat!
