This Burger King and the charter way Burger King off I-5 are the slowest drive thru's in the history of the drive thru. Minimum time when going through the drive thru at these joints is 30 min. To 54 min. Thats from being 3 cars from the ordering menu. Approx. 15 min. From there to receiving the order. Was unbelievably another 40 minutes. When I reached the window the young woman was nice and apologetic. Although the "manager" was dismissive and clearly had no desire to show even a hint of customer service. It's impossible to believe the reasons given by management Being Covid-19. Because before the pandemic and throughout the pandemic. The drive thru wait had no change whatsoever. All other fastfood restaurant's and franchisees maintained acceptable times. Although before they'd generally have 5-7 employees at anytime. To presently 3 employees at the most. Customer Service on the other hand has been in decline and in some places is nonexistent.
I worked at BK, McD's, Wendy's etc. In the 90's and early 2000's. All of these places competed to be the fastest, from ordering to handing over the order. Which was around 1 1/2 to 2 minute. With places like McD's giving food away if that time was over by seconds. The most important thing was positive customer service. The customer was always right even when they were obviously wrong.
Service with a smile was Required as much as the uniform.
Sadly people have been shot in theirs cars while being trapped in the excruciatingly slow drive thru line.
At the end of the day. The more money a company makes. The less care for Consumer...
Read moreThe only reason I gave this particular bk 2 stars is because my food was hot, not quiet fresh, but at least it was hot. First off, as soon as I pulled up the chick says "you ready to order?" of course not, even if I knew exactly what I wanted,i still like seeing what's new. So I ask for a minute before she takes my order. About a minute later I get her attention and she's giggling and talking to someone else in the background, so I'm a little annoyed when I had to repeat myself a couple times. Then she doesn't tell me my total. ( you know what that means) so I pull up to the first window and she's still having a good ol' time, giggling and talking. So I hand her my card and as she's reaching for it I repeated my order again, and she says "what? Oh "giggles"oops" so at this point I'm heated, because she's acting like she's stoned. ( probably was) so after someone else came over to help her she hands me my card and I go to the second window. And guess what, they got my order wrong, only, I didn't realise it until I was nearly home how small my bag of food was. So I went back, asked for the manager ( she was in her office) I explained why I was back, she ha another chick fix my order. While I waited there, the manager did her best to seem concerned and act busy. My bag of food was plopped down in front of me and the chick rolled her eyes. The manager didn't seem to notice the blatant disrespect. But you know what? That's okay, I don't force anyone,or any establishment to take my money, I will get cheap burgers and warmed over fries, elsewhere from now...
Read moreRiding my bicycle in Summer Stockton heat...I chose Burger King as my destination only to be turned away because they will not accept my Electeonic Gift Card...actually they accept them but refuse to input the gift card number into their register because or a policy to only accept credit or debit cards that swipe. The Electronic gift card by nature is not insertable or swipable, it is a barcode and a number that is emailed. So they have a policy that shuts out customers wishing to use an electronic gift card.
The cashier has the ability to enter the number but refused to.
So with my bicycle and my Electronic Gift Card... I depart Burger King with no food....no drink....without calories to offset all that I have burned riding my bike to and from work (40miles) hope I don't pass out.
Never coming back to this Burger King,n and until a remedy and an apology is made I will boycott all Burger Kings and encourage others to boycott also.
It may seem trivial to boycott due to a refuse service situation...however when one works so damn hard for money to pay for food and travels in the summer heat for food, and overcomes other adversity just TO BE ABLE to go to a fast food restaurant.... It just adds uneccessary grief and hardship, to a already very challenging life. Not to mention without food.
Life is hard...way to go Burger King making life...
