Gian’s Deli is a solid local spot in Stockton. We came in for sandwiches—decent overall, but nothing mind-blowing. The house-made focaccia is a nice touch, but it didn’t stand out the way I expected. I grew up in Brooklyn around Italian American delis, so maybe my bar is just a bit higher. Sandwiches were on the smaller side for the price, and the flavor was good but not particularly memorable. That said, the vibe is friendly, the location is convenient, and I actually appreciate that it’s cash only. That’s not a downside in my book. I’d definitely come back to try the homemade pasta or switch up the sandwich order—there’s probably more to explore on the menu that might hit better. A decent deli, especially by Stockton standards.

I'm visiting from Texas and was looking for a quick bite—I'm so glad I found this gem! I ordered the #10 on French bread with extra mayo, paired it with regular Lay’s and a Calypso drink, and it totally hit the spot. If you're looking for a sandwich that stands out from the rest, I highly recommend this place. Heads up: They only accept cash! There’s an ATM on-site, but it charges a $3.49 fee for withdrawals. Hit that follow button for more finds! šŸ„–šŸ˜Ž

I usually come here with my family and the sandwiches are good until one day this was August 8th of 2025 we did takeout and we got a salad and pasta and all of sudden I was going to warm up my pasta and saw this. Called the owner of the place and he had an attitude he didn’t care like this isn’t the first time it’s happened if you see a roach you know it’s infested.

I was in need of a quick sandwich before going to work, and I was highly disappointed. First of all, I did not see any noticeable signs in the business that stated cash only. This is 2025 who runs a business off of only cash? They did have an ATM inside but now I’m getting charged three dollars for a withdraw fee which made what I ordered cost me more. That completely caught me off guard as a new customer. I got a very basic sandwich but the bread was so ā€œtoughā€ I was having to literally squeeze it to tear every bite I took, which made all of the sandwich squish out the sides. This made the sandwich so messy, and it had an overload of mustard. I was not impressed at all, and the person behind the counter was not...

Was really good. They didn’t have onions to put on the sandwiches which caught me off guard. They said I wouldn’t even notice there weren’t onions. I ended up getting a veggie pasta salad which had onions in it and added it to half my samich. I tired it my way with added onions from the pasta salad and the normal way they made it and the normal way they made it was indeed better without the onions. The red peppers and wax peppers were their signature toppings. They do take cash only so prepare for that if u decide to visit. I got a sand which drink bag of chips ravioli and pasta salad I spent $27. I will be...
