Gianās Deli is a solid local spot in Stockton. We came in for sandwichesādecent overall, but nothing mind-blowing. The house-made focaccia is a nice touch, but it didnāt stand out the way I expected. I grew up in Brooklyn around Italian American delis, so maybe my bar is just a bit higher. Sandwiches were on the smaller side for the price, and the flavor was good but not particularly memorable.
That said, the vibe is friendly, the location is convenient, and I actually appreciate that itās cash only. Thatās not a downside in my book. This is 2025 who runs a business off of only cash? They did have an ATM inside but now Iām getting charged three dollars for a withdraw fee which made what I ordered cost me more. I ended up getting a veggie pasta salad which had onions in it and added it to half my samich. I tired it my way with added onions from the pasta salad and the normal way they made it and the normal way they made it was indeed better without the onions. The red peppers and wax peppers were their signature toppings. They do take cash only so prepare for that if u decide to visit. I got a sand which drink bag of chips ravioli and pasta salad I spent $27. I will be...
