Starbucks — Restaurant in Stockton

I have been here about a dozen times, and based on my taste experiences at other restaurants, my drink has never been made correctly any time I have been here. For ten years, I was an every morning Starbucks patron -- ordering the same drink every time -- so I know very well how my coffee is supposed to taste! I was told today that they are making my drink correctly and that I would have to pay for additional shots being added if I did not find it to have a strong enough espresso flavor. I guess there are those who complain as a scam to get free shots, but in my experience, the coffees I get here NEVER tastes as they should! As such, I told the barista that if my drink had the correct amount of shots, than the shots must not be up to par. She continued to "discuss" the issue with me would not concede her argument. Additionally, although the employees here insist that the drive through screen is not working, I can state for a fact that it works but is too filthy to see one's order on it! That is ridiculous!!! This is a brand new restaurant! I will not ever return to this restaurant, and I guess they are happy to see me go since they think I am running a scam to get free shots. A friend suggested that I should have just insisted that they remake my drink until it was right; however, I could not do that in the drive through with others behind me! I didn't want to punish other customers for the employees' incompetence. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way about this restaurant; I have several friends who feel the same way. Despite its convenience, neither I, nor my friends who live in this neighborhood, will return any time soon! Perhaps if enough complaints are lodged, corporate will do something about it. If an employee is reading this, I was not scamming for free shots!!! I am sure that know better than the barista in question what my drink should taste like with four shots. Funny that every other Starbucks I go to manages to get my drink right without my having to ask for it...

I walked over from my office with my toddler to grab a coffee and him a bottled water. No one there expect us and the employees. Sat down and handed my toddler the phone. He sat on the booth side and I sat in a chair directly across. 2 employees sat next to us having a conversation. My toddler laid on his back in the booth for about 10 mins. He would sit up to smile and greet a young lady worker then go back to laying on his back. It would probably help to say I sat down for a few minutes because of my back pain and needed to sit before we walked back to my office. Well a lady that had plain clothes and nothing to indicate if she was a manger or employee walked by and tapped my toddler on the shoulder and said sit up. I won't go back because I just thought that was weird. He is 4 and not bothering anyone. Again only us there and employees. We got up and left because I didn't want to slouch and then she tap me to sit up straight too. Is this new Starbucks culture? Did she think we were homeless and employees need to keep up a certain vibe? I bought snacks and coffee and water so I was a paying customer. I was clean and dressed for work. And my toddler was clean and has a nanny that was just running late but he was not loud at all. Well weird new ways at Starbucks I will...

UPDATE😎 2/06/24: I know I said that "" I "" would never come back here, however my mom went through the drive through on route to pick up for school morning. So I decided to give back the 5 🌟 review because. They had no line in drive thru, there customers service has greatly GREATLY IMPROVED GOOD JOB, then ......ok....they on accident DROPPED the match !oh no! but but but they very respectfully made a second one AND THAT MATCHA WAS MADE SO FREAKEN GOOD so thank you thank you. And the impossible plant based breakfast sand which was warmed up perfectly 👌 so thank you so much for improving the stores customers service. I will be back.
