My experience here has always been top tier. I am super picky when it comes down to my chorizo fresco because alot of carnicierias over season their chorizo, resulting in nasty heartburn. At el patron the chorizo is just perfect. Even in the breakdown after cooking. I'm also extremely picky when it comes to chicharones. With El Patron, the chicharones are freshly made. They go super quick so you have to catch them just in time or pre-order. Lalo and his team are always on top of things. If our order is messed up, there's never a problem in its exchange or refund. Service is beyond great. The lines are long and the wait can be too, so come with patience.. what quality eatery/dinner/restaurant have you ever seen with no wait?! I recommend the chilaquile burrito which is my all-time favorite. If you want something different try their amazing empanadas de camaron. For the keto lovers or a quick on the go bite you can order a chicharon with a side of freshly made guac. 😉 With El Patron you definitely get your...
Read moreI stopped by this spot during a road trip back home to LA from Northern Cali just because we were craving micheladas. The place did not disappoint at all! The shop is simple, which usually means you're going to have a great meal IMO, and the prices are not cheap but they're reasonable. More importantly, the food was fantastic and everyone working was very friendly and seemed to take well-deserved pride in the place. When I asked about breakfast burritos the cashier, whom I assume is the owner since he looks like the logo, ran through a list by memory and had me instantly when he mentioned a chilaquiles BB, so I got that with some carnitas and it was fantastic! Everything was good, from the quality beans and meat to the flavorful salsa and miches. I'm not a local, but it's great knowing that anytime I'm passing by Stockton and feel like a drink and some quality mexican food that this place is here. I'd definitely...
Read moreI live out of the area and finally made it to have lunch here today with my parents. Everything was great! The owner greeted us immediately. I think He could see my dad was having a bit of trouble getting around (he uses a Cain) so he walked over and took our order. The chilaquiles were delicious (these were shared by 2 of us) one of the best I’ve ever tried. Rice was amazing. Beans were good but slightly more runny than what I’m used to. My dad enjoyed his asada burrito. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and hot! The owner was polite and it was very genuine. We all felt very welcomed. If I wasn’t an hour away and lived closer, I’d try to eat here once every couple of weeks. highly recommend and would love to come back in the...
