My wife and I were there 2 times this summer.We are from South Philly and we know what a real cheesesteak and water ice is all about.This place exceeded our expectations on both fronts.In philly the big names are living on their reputations and giving you a low end product.The water ice is worse because they are buying low end product already made.Everything at Mad D's is made fresh to order.They make their own water ice in house and small batches so you know your not eating frozen product from who knows when.The place is super clean and the service is awesome.Try coming to big name steak place in philly if you don't know what you want when you get up to window they throw you to the back...

So glad I found this spot! Delicious cheesesteaks AND homemade water ice! I really missed water ice from my Philly days. The pineapple one is amazing, so refreshing! Defintiely get the cheesesteak with american cheese! The business owner is super kind and accommodating. I wanted to make sure they would do curbside pick up or delivery since we have a little guy under 2 that can't wear a mask and he responded pretty quickly on Instagram and apologized if it took him too long (wasn't at all!) I can't actually review the food, because both times we went, we were told they didn't have what we wanted. On a Sunday, we were told they were "out of burgers, delivery on Thursday." On Thursday, we were told again "out of burgers." Seemed they just didn't feel like cooking either day. Staff also actually asked us if we wanted lettuce on a caesar salad. That's when we gave up. Staff is extremely rude. Will not try...
