Louis Sub Shoppe — Restaurant in Stoneham

Been going here since it opened (in same space as Johnny's). Pretty much everything is better than Johnny's, which is saying something. Very good pizza and Brazilian sandwiches. The buffalo chicken is also worth trying. Staff is super friendly. Very reliable local spot, with reliable hours. I love places like this, and hope they never close.

Now, as a fellow restaurant listing manager on Google, I'll add some comments here on a different Stoneham business: a locally famous Italian Specialties establishment. I have added this here to avoid the annoying "left a one star review but didn't buy anything" which I have dealt with a few times myself.

Get with the times, Anthony's. Why close at 5:00pm?! Why not 2:00pm?! Why do you have a fancy website with strange hours? You are sending mixed signals. Just because you were on Phantom Gourmet doesn't mean you can be surprised when people call at 5:15pm looking to place an order - you're a sandwich shop, not Ruth's Chris. People with kids don't order at 4:30pm - who are you catering to with those hours? You need to win the kid business to have a chance these days, and I don't understand your approach. Catering hours alone dictate 6:00pm, so that can't be it. Why pay staff the extra hours? Just close after lunch. I would say that is what I'd do, but my business closes at 10pm like a normal 21st century sandwich shop. In the past 10 years, we've seen two nearby shops (both there 30+ years) close up shop. No one is immune, and reputations can wane. Stay open later, or close earlier. Pick...

Worst customer services ever. They usually assume that us Americans do not understand or speak Brazilian- Portuguese the first time I picked up a order in the store they were gossiping and making unpleasant comments which they assumed I didn’t understood Portuguese. So, this time I made order on Uber eats and the staff completely forgot to hand the order out to be made. The app driver got there and was no order done therefore, was when their staff realized they didn’t send the order to be made. Of course the driver got worried and reach out to me to let me know that it was going to be hour delayed. I called the store and I spoke to the owner who actually give me a disgusting attitude and instead of trying to resolve and appreciate THE CUSTOMER, said that if I wasn’t satisfied that it was being made that I could cancel the order after the driver was already there for 10-15 minutes waiting. I definitely do not recommend this place and it’s so unfortunate that some small business owner such as this person do not appreciate local customers. Shame on him for not even considering that the Uber driver was also at lost due to his lack of staff training and...

This used to be my favorite place to get a roast beef sandwich. They would shave the prime rib fresh for your order. I ordered from there today and the roast beef sandwich I got was the worst I've ever had. The meat was brown and presliced as if it came out of a hillshire farms deli container. It was also served hot and was a mess. It was nothing like the pink prime rib new england roast beef sandwich from before.The plan was for me and my husband to split a super beef. We both only took one bite each and threw it away. It was terrible. We ordered fries which were fine and buffalo fingers that were just ok. I also ordered regular chicken fingers that we didn't get but also weren't charged for. I typically never do this and I'm saddened that I have to as I used to rave about the roast beef sandwich here.
