I had the pleasure of hosting my brother & sister here, right after Thanksgiving. This is not an easy task - they both currently use wheelchairs. The staff was exemplary in their kindness to us. Ava was our server, Jeff was the manager on duty. They helped us settle in, we ended up taking over three tables to accomodate two wheelchairs. (Two tables had to be moved, plus the table we used). No pushback at all, just kindness.
The food was delicious. My siblings are both former chefs, they loved everything they were served, no complaints. My sister & I both started with the risotto, it was wonderful, and such a generous portion. Brother enjoyed his appetizer of meatballs & ricotta very much.
My sister had a Cobb salad, I believe. It looked wonderful, she loved it. I had eggplant w/spaghetti, brother had spaghetti bolognese. Everything was so delicious.
We had no room for dessert. My sister was being picked up by The Ride, public transportation van. Driver drove past the restaurant, and Jeff the manager chased him for the equivalent of several blocks. In the freezing cold, with no jacket. Jeff saved the day! Ava was delightful, so professional, we are so glad we chose Evviva Trattoria for our family meal. Thank you so much,...
Read moreI usually love this place, but this was the worst visit yet. I made a reservation 5 days ago and requested a certain booth because it is my father's favorite spot. We walked in and there is no hostice in sight. Then we see people sitting in the booth I requested. The older ladies had been there over 2 1/2 hours. I had to go up to the bar to actually speak to an employee. The manager finally came and wasn't sympathetic or empathetic at all. Then we waited over 30 minutes for our food, even though we ordered 2 appetizers. This is one of the only Italian restaurants that doesn't offer bread and butter or oil. My mom ordered an Italian margarita, which should come with a sugared rim, but didn't. That's what makes this drink. Towards the end of the meal, we needed boxes to take home leftovers. No servers were in sight for 15 minutes. My father had to get up and ask someone to send our server over. As much as I love this place, next time I will go somewhere else. Then the booth in front of us was laughing very loudly, but stopped when we got up to leave. The atmosphere and the attitude of the manager ruined this visit. We are loyalty members and just earned 10 dollars off. Good thing because we don't...
Read moreServer displayed no understanding of customer service, attitude after I questioned the ingredients of a Cosmo. In three visits the Cosmos were made with Tito’s and contrueau. Today the cosmos was watered down with triple sec. The server did not appreciate my question and response with a major attitude. We have been visiting on Sunday afternoon for the last few months. The food was delicious but the service and attitude of the staff was very negative, While paying our bill the server at the cash register was wolfing down a plate of Pasta which was a major turn off. I have been concerned with the low number of restaurant quests at this site, each Sunday there are only two or three tables seated with guests. Management needs to step up and retrain staff and provide active supervision of these employees. Threre is no compliance to high quality restaurant operations.. I don’t see this restaurant succeeding given the poor preforming staff even with the quality...
