First time eating here 11-9-19. I ordered stuffed pasta with Italian sausage. Food was basic and lacked flavor. My food came out barely warm. I was expecting to have chunks of Italian sausage, but instead got a link that was cut in half. The "garlic bread" served with the dish wasn't what I was expecting. It was a slice of bread, buttered, no garlic and it was overcooked to the point where it was hard and crumbly and half of it was partially burnt.
My sister got steak fettuccine alfredo. It was also barely warm. She asked for her steak to be well done and she was expecting it to be in slices in the pasta, like all other alfredos with meat. Instead she got a small steak placed on the side of the pasta. The steak wasn't well done as it was still bleeding into her pasta. She asked the waitress to take it back to kitchen. Got the steak back and half of it was well done, other half was still bleeding, it was sent back again for the second time and came out well done, but the steak was pure fat, not even worth having.
Waitress apologized about 4 times for the steak, but we told her over and over it wasn't her fault, it was whoever was cooking. We got no apology from the cook or any sort of "how can we make this better" from anyone. We will not...
Read moreI hadn't been to Boz-Wellz for several years. My family and I were on our way to Santa's Castle (which is only a short walk away) and chose to stop here for supper. On a Thursday night, a little after 5pm, we had no problem at all getting seated upon arrival and there was a waitress there to take our drink orders shortly after getting settled. Drinks were out within minutes and we were able to order at that time as well. The side salad was delivered after a few minutes, appetizer came out just after the salad was gone, and entrees arrived on cue just as we finished the appetizer. I have read some reviews from people with negative feedback related to the timing of the service, which I found to be completely untrue. I was very impressed with the deliberate sequence and timing of each course of our meal. All of our food was piping hot, fresh and delicious.
The restaurant itself is always well kept, clean, warm, and cozy. Like I said earlier, it had been several years since we have been there and the experience we had on this recent visit was nothing short of what I remember from years ago. I applaud any establishment that can perform with that type of...
Read moreI was recommended to try this place on my first day in Storm Lake, immediately I felt at home thanks to the generous hospitality of the service staff. Stopping for a beer and the daily happy hour special at BozWellz became my favorite part of the day. No matter how stressful a day at work is, you can expect great food, company, and if you want, conversation at this local favorite. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and the prices are so reasonable, you can afford to take a risk - on what, I couldn't imagine. The menu is extensive yet all familiar all American staples. In addition to running one of Storm Lake's finest establishments, the owner and her sister also organizer large community meals on holidays for those who otherwise might not have a meal or otherwise would not have company. I have nothing but praise to sing about this place! So what are you waiting...
