my family and I were visiting from out of town (Chicago) and looking for things to do with our children. I took my daughter here as a treat, just her and I, and we had a blast. they have a station to sanitize your hands and put gloves on so you aren’t just manhandling all the candy. my daughter got to fill a bag with whatever she wanted and the workers were so patient with us and answered any questions we had. I didn’t think to get a name but we went around 5:30-6 on 10/12 and the young girl working was extremely kind! we’re not used to being in a smaller town like Storm Lake but it was so quaint and personable at this candy shop. my daughter got to sample ice cream with no hassle even though we did not have intentions of getting ice cream (on this trip, at least). we loaded up on some delicious candy and fudge and will probably be back before we leave for ice cream! very fun and cute experience for the...

This joint should have carts! Not baskets you carry ... rolling carts to fill. The handmade candy is some of the best I've ever had, and you can even watch the magic of your favorite treats coming together. It's nearly impossible to pick a favorite ice cream; the flavors and selection is incredible. DO NOT buy the red velvet cherries unless you're prepared to come back ... frequently.
