For the longest time, I was convinced that they were permanently closed because I must have called to make orders a few too many Tuesdays in a row during COVID. Plus, their Facebook hadn't had any posts since 2017
That was a long, sad time in my life.
Fast forward to last Friday when my friend and I were in Storm Lake to take a break from renovating my house. The restaurant we chose had closed early, so I mentioned how I wished Lakeshore Pho was open, and I decided to Google them to show my friend . I randomly decided to try and call, just in case
A really nice lady answered and said they were open till 8, and my heart lept out of my chest with happiness. We drove a block over quickly and went inside.
This place has the best vibe, hands down for restaurants. We came in around 730 and were gunna get takeout so we weren't keeping them after close. They were so nice and said they were okay with whatever we decided to do, so we stayed to dine in.
I got my favorite drink, Boba tea and since I was super indecisive on what flavor I wanted I asked our very nice server what kind I should get and she said she loved Mango so mango it was! Followed with crab Rangoon (BEST IVE EVER HAD) I got chicken pad Thai and my friend got lomein.
The plates were so nicely presented. They take so much pride in their food and the plates speak for themselves.
Thank you for always being open I'm so glad I was wrong in my assumption and I can continue to come here for many...
Read moreLakeshore pho is one of the best places in town for asian food, my service was slow but it was definitely worth the wait! The girls there are such hard workers and I understand they have other responsibilities thats why I was so patient. The waitresses are young and are expanding their expirence for work before the real world. I was in their shoes once, working at a young age to get to the point I am now. The waitresses there are so nice. They smiled at me every chance they got, it made me feel really welcomed. Moving on to the food, I got the beef pho mmmm so yummy I am definitely coming back. This is my first time in Storm Lake since 2020. Its lovely being back in the place I grew up in. The food never disappoints and i always feel so much happier after eating. If this is your first time I recommend the Beef and Brisket pho and the boba! I am reading all of these other reviews and it couldnt be far from the truth! It really disappoints me because Lakeshore Pho is one of the best places for asian authentic food. I know this was based off their experience but reveiws have effects on restaurants. So this is my message for the people who never tried Lakeshore pho, never judge before you try it! I love Lakeshore pho and I hope their business expands and grows...
Read moreMy daughter and I had never heard of lakeshore restaurant so we decided to stop in. Neither of us were impressed. My daughter ordered her favorite, the orange chicken was so bad that my daughter couldn't eat more than 2 bites. The pho was cold and the meat was chewy. I could have dealt with that. The topping on the cake was our waitress. I understand she is young, but that does not excuse the way she treated us. I stood at the cash register for 10 minutes while the other girl was running around busy. Our waitress was standing at the register and just ignored me as she was standing right in front of me! I am a good tipper and I did not tip because of the way she treated us. She then glared at me until we left. That behavior is inexcusable. We absolutely will not be back and if anyone asks how our experience was, I'm not...
