I was here that day when the owner was making the cake there was nothing said or wrote down or in text message on the device that it was placed by on the sheet of paper at the time of the cake was ordered. So along the lines of there was no word on what the outside should’ve looked like the customer jump to conclusions and called the store and asked to see a picture of the cake. The decorator had no problem showing the customer picture, but the customer was heated on the phone call and asked very rudely to see a picture of the cake, if you call Lynn to a business, and if you have something placed to order, I would hope that you would not yell at the baker and or the decorator they put a whole time into baking and decorating these cakes for customers, and when the customers get overheated and saying well, that’s not how it should go and there’s no word What are they supposed to besides their own creative freedom to making the cake look pretty and beautiful and gender neutral so the parents of the child or a gender neutral gender reveal party. I do apologize. Don’t know until the reveal. The customer stated that they do not care what the cake looked like on the outside , and then when the decorator was decorating the cake, the customer called and asked to see a picture of the cake. The baker/decorator had no problem, but the customer started to say that that is not high. I wanted to take it should be all white you want a white cake just come out and say so , but the decorator can’t so if you want a cake done like you want it done send her a picture of a cake that you want or just come out and say the color that you want. Heck if you want pink, she can do it pink I’ve seen it before , but please don’t get mad...

Worse place and service ever!! I ordered a white heart shaped cake for a gender reveal. To begin with they did the complete opposite of what I asked for, when they sent me the picture of the cake they had made a blue and pink cake, nothing like I asked for. Then I politely asked them to please change the frosting to completely white like I asked for from the beginning and the manager was upset and told me that I did not specify that when that was the only requirement I asked for, then she sent me a text that said: “Send me a picture of how you want it decorated. I don’t wanna do it wrong again. I don’t have time”. I sent the picture of the cake I asked for from the beginning which once again was a white heart shaped cake. (Nothing complicated)To make the story short when my brother went to pick up the cake for the gender reveal of his baby, the cake had a big crack and he could clearly see the gender color before the gender reveal event. They ruined the surprise and they ruined everythinggg. Worst experience ever!!!! Very rude and...

Listen, I’m from Massachusetts a small state with over 1100 donut shops. So trust me when I say: Storm Lake Bakery knows what they’re doing.

The donuts here are next level, but the true star of the show is the fried peanut butter roll. It’s crispy, gooey, sweet, salty — basically everything good about being alive in one bite.

Would I drive 28 hours from Massachusetts every year just for these donuts? Absolutely. My family thinks I’m visiting them, but we all know the truth.
