We were staying at the hotel and came for breakfast on July 4th, 2025 at 9:30 AM. After a long wait for the server to arrive, I finally placed an order for a Flat White coffee and the Alpine breakfast (with scrambled eggs and sourdough bread).

Despite multiple prompts, the Flat White arrived cold half an hour later. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the waiter to come check, and we requested that the coffee be replaced.

The server didn't bring the sourdough bread when the Alpine breakfast arrived. I reminded the server that the sourdough bread was missing. He apologized and said he would bring it "soon". Half an hour passed, and I had finished my meal by then; the waiter was nowhere to be seen.

After we got the waiter's attention half an hour later, he couldn't explain why the sourdough bread was missing and blamed the kitchen staff for putting together an incomplete plate. But he did not mind charging us full for the meal, on the other hand.

After our entire party finished breakfast, we had to wait again for the waiter to check on us and bring the bill. Since that didn't happen, we asked another waiter to locate our waiter and bring the check.

When the waiter finally brought the bill, we were charged for an adult buffet instead of a kid's buffet. This had to be corrected, which took even longer.

Finally, we provided two credit cards to split the transaction when the corrected bill arrived. Ten minutes later, we realized the waiter had run the entire transaction through just one credit card, even though the other card had also been provided. When asked, he stated, 'You didn't tell me to split the transaction into two cards.'

We responded, 'Why would we give you two cards then?'

If you want cold food with missing items in a great atmosphere, served by incompetent employees trained by below average management, this is a great place to be!

While the waiter was partly responsible for this chaos, I think the incompetence stems from the restaurant management and the restaurant managers themselves.

It's a great place to come sit in a beautiful atmosphere with cold food with missing items, and your experience ruined by frustration from dealing with chaotic restaurant management and...

Sadly very disappointing. My mom and I went for a mother daughter overnight stay at the Spruce Lodge Hôtel. The Alpine Hill is an onsite restaurant. The menu looked great and the restaurant itself is very nice however the food was really not great! The cocktails are a bit odd and the garden margarita I sent back because it really wasn’t good. We got the Brussels sprouts (way too sweet, it’s like they poured maple syrup on top) and calamari (quite chewy), they brought our mains before we had even finished our apps. My mom had the chicken which was super delicious l. My steak was almost grey in colour. I ordered it medium rare it came medium well. The side of fries the rushed to us so went cold before we could enjoy them. The staff seemed great at first but then it was like after the initial welcome they stamina of service was like we had tons of kids and were in a rush which we weren’t. The dessert was the saving grace but by that point I had lost my appetitite and patience. The manager replaced my cocktail with a glass of wine (which tasted really foul so I just didn’t finish it, I didn’t want to complain about something else). She did make a point of saying that the wine was less expensive than the gross cocktail (which was pretty inappropriate when it had nothing to do with cost and simply it didn’t taste good! I also didn’t drink it so it not like I was trying to swindle them). Moreover when we got the bill, they charged me for a much larger glass of wine than I had asked for on purpose I think so that it cost more than the cocktail. Overall if you have young kids it’s probably a good choice. But if you’re out for a good meal I...

0 STARS!! The worst dining experience of my life and I run a food page so trust me, I’ve been to A LOT of restaurants. Worst worst worst. Seeming that it’s at a nice resort you’d think that you would be seated for your reservation but nope. Our reservation was at 8:45 and we arrived at 8:40. We get seated at 9:05 then our apps don’t come out till 9:38 and we don’t get our food till 9:45… one hour after our reservation time and the food SUCKS. The steak is cold and nasty, like I’m pretty sure either the meat or the butter was rancid. I’ve never had something taste SO bad. The broccolini is raw and has the leaves and thick stalks attached. A simple google search will tell you that you need to take the leaves off, like?? Who do they have cooking back there? They were severely understaffed. Our waitress was sweet and super overworked but the rest of it was a garbage experience. It is now 10:04 PM as I am typing this… about 1h20mins since our reservation time and we have requested a manager. They said they’ll take it off the tab but that doesn’t change the fact that we didn’t even get to eat a normal dinner at a literal resort where our room was over $650 a night lol.

After a long day of travel, we just wanted to eat a good meal but all we were able to down was some Brussels sprouts, a $24 “cheese board” that looked like a toddler put it together and some fries. Going to bed hungry after all. DO NOT EAT HERE. Just drive...

Title: Disappointing Service at Alpine Hall on Christmas Day Review: We had planned to enjoy our Christmas dinner at Alpine Hall, arriving at around 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, we were met with a less-than-pleasant experience. The front desk lady informed us there were no open tables, even though we pointed out an unoccupied one near the door, which she claimed was reserved. We were asked to wait until 8:30 PM, so we put our names down and took a walk. Returning at 8:15 PM, we found the same table still empty, yet were told we had to wait another 15 minutes. Frustrated, I asked to cancel our reservation. The attendant seemed surprised and offered us seating in the bar area, which was inappropriate considering we were with our underage daughter. Her overall attitude was off-putting, leading us to leave the restaurant. Since it was Christmas Day and we wanted to celebrate, we reluctantly ordered room service from the same place and picked it up. We ordered French onion soup and chocolate cake, which, to their credit, tasted good. However, the disappointing service we received earlier had already dampened our spirits. This experience at Alpine Hall was a letdown, especially on such a special occasion.
