Olympia Candy (Sweeties Olympia Treats) — Restaurant in Strongsville

Poor service. Online presence is everything these days, especially in this time where online ordering is more the norm than not. So we decided to give Olympia Candy and Grill a shot for dinner tonight. A long time Strongsville tradition, we've shopped here every year for Easter candy but have never really tried the "grill" part of the establishment. Went to their website, saw Friday fish was the daily special and placed the order over the phone. You can plainly see fish, bread, coleslaw, and 2 sides listed for $13. Order 2 on the phone. When we arrived for pick up the total was $40! Asked how that is so, the manager said the website is not up to date. The $13 is for the fish only. The sides are $2 each. Said that is not what your website says and he offered no explanation and nothing but a measly $2 off the bill. I wonder how many others have been conned like this over the past year? Shameful. Update your website or get rid of it or honor your erroneous...

Service was not good. The server didn’t even acknowledge my 6yr old when she said thank you, twice. Our first time there and no one told us that we had to order by Checking off items on the menu. Food was hot but other than that not anything I would order again . Ordered a quesadilla and instead of sour cream they gave her a mayo. Once she went back to the sour cream we waited 5 mins despite being the only table at that point. Also, ordered a cheeseburger and the bun basically crumbled when I picked it up to put ketchup on my daughters burger. I had the cheesesteak philly, the driest sandwich I’ve ever ate. The only that was semi-good was a grilled cheese. Once it was time to check out, I had to ask which register, handed the girl my check said no change and she didn’t even say thank you. I called on Thursday February 11th, because I am a procrastinator, and forgot to get my wife anything for Valentines Day. I actually talked to someone and asked If I could order some chocolates and have the delivered on Feb 13th. I explained that our house was less than 1 mile from their store. The women said she would ask the owner, Bob. She came back and said they would take care of it. Bob’s wife delivered the chocolates personally to my wife and she was thrilled. She said they were better than the chocolates last year. I sent her See’s chocolates from Los Angelos at twice the cost. I made the right choice to buy local this year.
