Coventry Cafe — Restaurant in Stuart

My wife and I decided to give Coventry Cafe a go for dinner. Our server was friendly and attentive, although we were quite surprised that our steak tartare, peach and burrata salad, along with our two entrees, all came out at once- we were the only ones eating dinner there. Not sure if it was because it was 5:30 on a Sunday and the staff wanted to get done early, or if it is the lack of experience from the server- even from the chef’s side, one would think he would ask the server if it all was intentionally rang in at once or by error. Peach and burrata salad by far was the best dish we had. Beef tartare was serve almost at room temperature which worried birth of us given the nature of the dish. What a hidden gem! My bf and I went in 10 mins before closing. And they still welcomed us with opened arms. We had the chicken parm and burger. Food was absolutely delicious. I didn’t take a picture of the chicken parm because that was devoured so quick. We met the NY culinary chef/owner, that does it all, named Doug. You can tell his passion is in food, the way he talks about cooking. And we also met bartender, Maggie from Texas, that made us some delicious drinks! We will definitely be coming back here again. We appreciate finding little local spots that are not corporate and have such a friendly/family vibe. The place was very clean, food was fresh not greasy, service was top notch. Absolutely blown away by this place! Chef and owner Doug is the real deal. He was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about his food. He even came out personally to whip up a special sauce for us that was out of this world. The hand-cut fries were perfectly crisp, the food was incredible, and the service was fast and genuinely attentive.

It’s places like this that make you want to gatekeep, but it’s just too good not to share! Tucked away in downtown Stuart, this beautifully remodeled spot with glowing string lights feels like you’ve stumbled upon a secret garden of flavor.

If you’re anywhere near Stuart, do yourself a favor....GO! Total hidden gem!...
