The food was okay, but the delay in serving it and the poor service ruined everything. From the first moment we told the waitress that we would all be paying separate bills (we were just 7 of us), the waitress frowned. After waiting for almost an hour, we asked the waitress, and she told us that we had to wait 25 minutes for each plate, even though there were 7 of us. You can imagine our reaction, because waiting over an hour is unacceptable in any restaurant. When they brought our plates, they brought my sister's plate with mushroom sauce when she had asked for meat sauce. When they brought it back, they put meat sauce on top of the mushroom sauce. The worst! And that's not all. After we finished eating, the waitress didn't ask if we wanted dessert, but instead brought us the check. That seemed like the height of poor service, and when we asked to speak to the manager, she became defensive and denied to our faces the fact that we had waited almost an hour. Her excuse for not asking if we wanted anything else was, "She thought we were in a hurry!" How horrible! I told her that complaining about the delay in service didn't justify her poor service. Finally, it took almost 25 minutes for us to get our bill, and when I asked the waitress why it was taking so long, she told me it was because we had ordered separate bills there. My patience was exhausted, and you can imagine my annoyance. Afterward, the waitress wasn't satisfied with the poor service, but she also had the disrespect to complain to my father, who is an 84-year-old man who doesn't speak English, showing her xenophobia to the fullest. In conclusion, this was the worst service I've ever received in a restaurant. I do not recommend...
Read moreI came in to sit and eat at this restaurant with my sibling and my service dog. my service dog is in training and there were several loud reactive dogs outside, so we went inside in order to avoid confrontation with these other dogs. We sat inside, and we were having a good time. We were having a good meal, and my dog was quiet laying under the table causing no issues. I was giving my service animal treats to reward the quiet good behavior as I stated he is in training. out of nowhere a man comes up to our table who I am assuming is a manager and informs me that it is incorrect to be feeding my dog in a restaurant so I went to explain that we were not feeding the dog we were giving the dog treats that we had brought with us from home not the food being served to us in the restaurant that the service animal in training and he is ready to be out in public, but I still reward the good behavior. this man was rude dismissive, and would not let me finish my sentence. He continues to tell me that it is inappropriate to feed a dog in a restaurant. He then said, pets do not belong in the restaurant. I went on to explain that he is a service dog. He is not a pet, and the man said I will not discuss this and walked away from our table, he accused me of a crime and then walked away. We asked for a box and our check and we left immediately. I would not eat here again. The staff needs to be more educated on how service dogs work, and what the laws are in Florida. they also need to check their attitudes because it is not OK to speak to someone that way. If you have questions about a service animal, you should ask those questions not accuse someone of bringing a pet into...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Stuart for 3 days, and upon reading lots of reviews on restaurants, we decided to visit Luna for an Italian meal. I ordered the Tuesday night special, Veal Sorentino. My wife ordered the lasagna, as I've always had great luck with this dish at other Italian restaurants.
We were served garlic knots as bread, and we were disappointed-- they lacked flavor. We've had better from the frozen section as the grocery store.
When we got our food and were quite unimpressed-- same lacking in flavor, possibly under-salted during cooking. The sauce was unremarkable-- I've actually had a lot better sauce from a jar, unfortunately.
When the waitress came(who seemed very rushed, possibly too many tables) to ask how our food was and if we wanted boxes, we did the hard thing and told her we were unimpressed. I hate giving negative feedback-- I'll often hold my tongue and indicate something was 'good' even if it was just mediocre, but I was actually quite sad that we had 'spent' one of our 3 dinners in Stuart on a restaurant that didn't hold up to the glowing reviews.
The waitress did indicate they would take the meals off the check, and since it was both of ours, there would be no check-- not something I expected, but as far as customer service goes, it's much appreciated. I felt odd walking out without paying, but I left the waitress a cash tip and left. I thought about not leaving a review due to this positive customer service act, but unfortunately I got to thinking that I would have liked to see others' reviews, even if negative, versus just the...
