Absolutely incredible dining experience at Riverwalk Cafe! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary, and everything was perfect from start to finish.
We started with a dozen oysters, and they were cold, fresh, and perfectly shucked. The accoutrements—horseradish, homemade hot sauce, and cocktail sauce—took them to the next level.
For entrées, the Fiocchi pasta was out of this world—delicate purse pasta stuffed with roasted pear and a blend of cheeses, sautéed in brown butter, fresh sage, pine nuts, and garlic. Every bite was amazing. The coconut-crusted fresh hogfish with cashew curry sauce and jasmine rice was an A+ dish—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We also had the lobster tail and ravioli, which were rich and indulgent.
To top it off, the s’mores bread pudding was the best dessert in Florida—the attention to detail on food preparation is on point, and the marshmallow was perfectly toasted, just like it was roasted over a campfire. It also came with homemade whipped cream, which wasn’t in the photo because my wife wanted to keep it separate—but trust me, the whipped cream was finished too! Absolutely unforgettable!
The service was excellent, and our waiter was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The ambiance is super cute, and the place is happening but not too loud, making it perfect for a special night out.
I’d definitely recommend asking your server for their top recommendations—everything we tried was fantastic, but they know the menu best and can guide you to the perfect dish.
Highly recommend Riverwalk Cafe for an amazing meal and experience. Can’t wait...
Read moreExploring Stuart for the first time we really didn’t have time to search for restaurants and read their reviews. However, we walked the area first to see what it had to offer and this restaurant caught our eye for the oysters. We walked in and were surprised at how small the establishment is. It seems to be a popular place as it was full. Luckily for us there was room at the bar, where we sat for drinks and appetizers. The decor is beautiful and simple, very European bistro. The ambiance is quaint and welcoming. Our bartender was attentive and very sweet. We started with drinks, and she let me taste the Rosé wines before making a decision, although they only carry 2 Rosé wines by the glass, and no sparkling Rosé by the glass, which would have been my choice with oysters. They had Chimay Beer on tap, not a common beer to find on tap. They serve it in a cool Chimay glass. They list the oyster selection for the day on mirrors on the wall. We selected the PEI and they came served the right way: on ice and with mignonette. Then we ordered the salad of the day: burrata and tomatoes. The complimentary bread was well made and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The prices are medium range, according to the quality of the food and the type of establishment. We enjoyed our experience at...
Read moreI wish I took a photo to share here. Service was average that included a pretty unkempt waiter takeout order. you know, the disheveled look, messy and not groomed. when you spend $100 per person it feels strange expected compared to the area with so many classy options. this used to be one apparently but that was not my experience.
Food was also average. nothing I would go back again for. I ordered the fish of the day which was grouper and was supposedly fresh. the filet was so small for both plates since 2 of us ordered it. we said something to waiter but he didn't care and dismissed the concern. so fine, it's small. we ate it anyway and OMG the fishy taste and overcooked!! which we all know WHY it has a fishy taste. we are eating at a restaurant on the water for goodness sake. it was my first and last time going here. way too many other options to choose from in this area.
there really isn't anything special about this place. the people I went with liked it and have been going for years and they too said it's not the same and...
