Was excited that a Guatamex opened near our house in Stuart. We frequent the one in Indiantown all the time. Well super disappointed. Food was horrible and my wife got shrimp fajitas and it was a pile of under cooked green peppers and 6 of the blandest shrimp ever. I had a super burrito that I ordered steak and chicken, had no steak and was full of reformed beans and 3 pieces of chicken. I was gonna give them a pass because I thought they just opened but they’ve been open for 6 months and it was unacceptable. No liquor license either so no margaritas! Their excuse was the chef called in sick. Well most good restaurants don’t have one chef! There are a lot better Mexican restaurants in the area. Maybe they get their act together but...

The Guatemala tostada at $11 had very little chicken but was flavorful. The menu was plentiful and it's possible I just made a poor choice. The salsa was thin and lifeless, the house hot sauce at best was mild...I was looking for amazing instead left...
