We went there yesterday first time for our anniversary. We had reservation. Hosts were 3 very your people just chatting all the time. They asked us if high chairs at the bar would be OK(????) TV, noise football game going We said it would not be OK , we came for a nice anniversary dinner. And we saw plenty of empty tables all around. After a lot of frowning, shrugging shoulders they gave us a normal table. We ordered cocktails. They were like juice, no alcohol . We tried to flag down our waitress Kate , but she did not come for a while by that time my husband took a couple of sips to see if he just had to stir it better or what.?(It did not help) He mentioned finally the watery weak cocktail when she came around. She said " so what do you want me to do?" My husband said maybe to fix this issue? She said he could order a new drink. For charge. And she became quite rude and lectured him that she could not just give him free drinks . So I am a local doctor and my husband is a lawyer, and we often go out with friends and even my organisation locally for dinners. We are not looking for free drinks. This insult quite ruined our good mood for anniversary dinner. We certainly would not come back and will warn all our local friends and colleagues to avoid this place. Plenty of nice places around....

I started visiting oak barrel several months ago, my son and I really enjoyed the food they serve. The problem that I had with Oak Barrel Tavern was that some of the staff were rude to me. I had a manager, I believe her name is Angela tell me that she had to get back to the window she didn’t have time to listen to my problem, and that same manager also told me that she would replace just the salmon from my meal although there was another item in the meal that was not good, after we talked and I told her I didn’t understand why she couldn’t replace the meal, then she said she would replace it this time. I was not happy with her. Then another time I had a problem with an associate I believe her name was Heather, she was quite rude to me about my reward points the reward points are great, but I guess they are harder to attach to your account if you don’t order on line and use a credit or debit card I mostly use cash and order over the phone. The associates up front that help you with picking up your order are all very nice especially Alex. My problems have been with the management, so although I like their food o do not go there as often as I use to, which is unfortunate. Thank you for a great frontend staff...

We ate here mid-afternoon. The place is bright and has a really nice set up, not much atmosphere but it was only 1:30pm. We were seated near the partially open kitchen, but surprisingly left without that "restaurant smell" on our clothes. Our server Wayne came to our table within minutes of walking in, which we appreciated. He was super chill and really nice and we both noticed that right away. We started with the fried pickles and cherry peppers and they had a nice zing to them. I had the Left Coast burger which was cooked perfectly to my medium rare request, my wife had the fried chicken sandwich, which had a generous portion of chicken, but she thought was very dry. The regular and sweet potato tots were good, you could really taste the difference between them and the onion rings were also great. The cocktails, (we had the jalapeno mule), were well made- not overly sweet or too strong. The cocktails, app and main came out quickly. We would like to check it out on a busy night for the atmosphere. Overall I would...

Life is short...F it up! Family, Flavor, Friends. time visiting this place. They advertise burger on the side of the window. And as you know i’m always on the lookout for the best burger. The decore was very nice and the staff seem to be nice as well. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the and staff seemed to be nice as well. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips. The dip was good but unfortunately the pita chips were stale. The waitstaff had brought out fresh fried pita chips which remedied that. now for the burger presentation very nice with a side of tater tots There was a very strong taste of burnt charcoal. The bread was just a normal white burger bun. You could taste the caramelized onions and the mayo and the tomato but the burger self was in my opinion very bland.. the silver lining the tator tots were good. Maybe other items are better.

We came here for dinner. We always sit at the bar as we like the fast service that this offers. The bar staff was attentive and friendly. Our food came out fast and hot. The drinks were delicious. They have such a great cocktail menu, I got a seasonal drink, a Gingerbread Martini. Came with a cookie which was a nice touch. And they seriously have the best Wachusett blueberry beer around. I can’t figure out why but I think it’s just very clean lines and how cold it is. I always get it when I’m there. Every meal on the menu slaps, you can’t go wrong with anything. Love the sweet potato tots too. The fig and arugula flatbread is also one of my faves, and the spinach dip! Oh, and can we talk about their rewards program? It’s amazing! I wish more restaurants did this. It’s a great way to build customer loyalty.
